This weekend I'm curled up with an ARC of Beth Ciotta's
Fool for Love, the first of her Cupcake Lovers novels,
due out August 28th. A couple months back I was corresponding with Beth on Facebook. When she realized I was a lifelong Vermonter, she asked if I would like to give the book an advance read from a Vermonter's perspective, and to Beta read for subsequent novels in the series! It's an amazing opportunity for me that I'm very excited about...and I must say, just part way through this first book, she has it spot on. The fictional setting of Sugar Creek, Vermont brings to mind the northern Vermont town of Richford, a special place for my family, and is making me very proud to live in such a beautiful state. This is definitely a book you will want to look out for later this summer.

That is so exciting! And what a huge compliment for her to ask you to be a beta reader! As much as I am proud to be from Oklahoma but I don't think I would really want to read a series set here. I mean it is a great place to live but other then Westerns, Oklahoma doesn't give much to the imagination.
