Rune Wulfsson is no stranger to Angel Morgan’s talents—the ones that left him burning for more and the ones that left him wrongfully locked up in jail. Now that he’s no longer behind bars, he’s riding hard for some good old fashioned revenge. But first he needs Angel’s help in hunting down some horse thieves, kidnappers and killers. Tough enough without Angel and Rune’s hands all over each other. It gets worse. But sometimes, bad is good…
My Review: I've long been fascinated by the dime novels of the Old West, so this second book in Sabine Starr's Gone Bad series held great interest for me. Angel is a schoolmarm by day, a dime romance novelist by night, and is having a hard enough time separating her two lives when a ghost from her past sweeps in seeking revenge. Hitting the trails with Rune ends up giving her fodder for her novels for years to come as they face one action-packed adventure after another.
I enjoy the paranormal aspects of this series, and in this particular book I was interested in the Anti-Horse Thief Association, something I had never heard of before. It's obvious Sabine knows the Indian Territory of Texas and Oklahoma and makes the West come alive!
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley with the request for a review. Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a wonderful guest post from Sabine Starr and a chance to win a copy of Angel Gone Bad!
I read Lady Gone Bad, and it was too much fun! I'll pick this one, too. It sounds like it will be just as good.
ReplyDeleteI love how authentic Ms Starr's depiction of the old west feels. She has the flavor and dialog just right. Not to mention the plot was imaginative and vivacious.
I haven't read a western romance in ages. This looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteA paranormal western? That sure sounds good! I'll be back tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteKathleen, I'm so glad you enjoyed Lady Gone Bad. Hope you find Angel Gone Bad just as much fun!
ReplyDeleteBuckeye Girl, I'd love it if you gave my Western Paranormal Romance a try. I told my agent and editor that I wanted to have fun and be bad in this series. They both said, "Yay!"
Aurian, In my Gone Bad Series "bad" is certainly "good"!
