You may have noticed that I've done a bit of Christmas decorating on my blog. Christmas is the time of year that I absolutely live for, and I thought my blog should reflect that. I thought it would be fun to debut my new look to coincide with the Ho-Ho-Ho Read-a-thon.
Last month I contacted the amazing Debbie at Glogirly Design who did my blog make-over back in February. I told her I was picturing a Santa hat on the kitty, a candy cane coming out of the coffee cup, a gingerbread man because I am absolutely obsessed with them, and perhaps a plum pudding because I adore all things British (especially British Christmas mysteries!) She was excited to add a little holiday icing to my blog (that's the term she used and I thought it was so cute it kind of stuck!), and in no time at all had put together 4 options for me to choose from. The end result is what you see on my blog header:
And my new Facebook cover:
Doesn't the cuteness just kill you??? We didn't want to change the look of my brand, so Debbie added the illustrations I was looking for to my existing blog header using my color scheme and it looks like it was absolutely meant to be! I love the pink Santa hat and candy canes, the adorable little mouse sitting on the plum pudding, and the way she put a gingerbread man in place of the "A" in my name! Yesterday she even featured our project on her blog!
I told Debbie recently, and I meant every word, that connecting with her earlier this year changed my blogging life. What started out as a hobby became my passion and a new career path. Her creativity steered me in the direction I was searching for, leading me down the path to blog about my 2 passions in life, cats and books.
It's the holiday season and money is tight for everybody, but whether you're making an investment in your blogging career as I am or simply want to spiffy up your online digs, you can't go wrong when you treat yourself to a Glogirly Design. Debbie is a sweetheart and a design genius!

We love your holiday look!
Your icing is so cute. GG is just the bestest of the best.
I love it! What a great idea to do a special holiday header. I recently had Debbie re-do my header for my blog too, and I couldn't be happier with it. She always puts in little extra touches that we never think of. I think you just put me in a Christmas mood! Or maybe I'm just craving a peppermint latte now. :)
