What a helpful post. Thankfully, I have never found a litter of kittens because I would want to bring them home too. I read an article about finding baby bunnies the other day and they also warned against assuming the babes were abandoned. Great reminder!
This is wonderful information to share. I've never found a litter of kittens....and like you, would probably panic. Fortunately I have some great resources here that I know would be able to help me.
This is such helpful information to share…thank you for doing so. We were at Best Friends in L.A. last week and toured the neonatal kitten nursery…..it was amazing! We are waiting for our fosters (any day now) and last year we had a mama and her nine one-week-old kittens at our house. It was PAWSOME (-:
Very helpful and important information!! Thanks for sharing this.
Some good advice there.
Great information! I wish I had this years ago when I ended up bottle feeding kittens who probably could have been left for their mother... but they were brought to me by workmen from the roof of my office building. Having an authoritative educational source like Best Friends would have been so valuable back then. Thanks for sharing this now that it's kitten season again.
I've bottle feed a gaggle of kittens, but all were turned into the shelter. I've never found on on the street..
