Hey everybody, it's Truffles! Today we're doing a musical post for Athena's Caturday Art blog hop...after all, music is art too!
37 years ago today the world lost the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley. When people ask those "do you remember where you were when you heard the news" questions Mommy likes to reply that she was in the womb MOL! She was born 3 weeks later. (Oops...I guess I just gave away her age, didn't I? Sorry about that, Mommy.)
We are huge Elvis fans, so in honor of today I wrote a little ditty...sing it to yourselves to the tune of "Burning Love".
♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫
Lord Almighty,
I feel a hairball a-risin'
Higher and higher
That sucker's soon to arrive
Meow, meow, meow, meow
It's set my tummy on fire, yeah
Carpet or bedspread?
I don't know which way to go
Because a kitty knows it's proper
To plan before you slobber
It's time for towels and water
I hacked a hairball up
♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫
***Wild applause***
Thank you, thank you very much.
Mommy also asked me to attach her favorite performance of Elvis singing "My Way" at his Aloha from Hawaii concert. Hey, that could be the Cat National Anthem!

**Appaws, Appaws!!!**
Excellent impurrsonation!
Have a happy Caturday.
XOXO
That's a fun picture of you, Truffles! My Human remembers that day when she was a young girl and her Mom was very sad when the news came over the radio station.
I remember watching that concert on TV with my mom...who adored Elvis.
Special memories. xoxo
Cool pic!
I'm older than you and remember that sad day well. Love Elvis. There will never be another like him.
I remember that song so well. Elvis was just hitting the big time when I was a Junior/Senior in High School. I didn't like him at the time. But when my daughter started playing all his music when she was in her teens, I really began to appreciate him.
Two kings died today. It’s also the day we lost Babe Ruth something like 53 years ago. Great lyrics! Next week’s theme isn’t much easier.
I am very lucky because I saw Elvis in concert at the Cow Palace. I will remember it always.
Your mom is a young thing, Truffles, so we don't think she'll mind you revealing her age. We love your song. We kitties are very talented when it comes to writing songs and the like. We are starting our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop tomorrow. Hope you will join us. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Lisbeth, Astrid and Calista Jo
Loved your take on Burnin' Love!
Your mom is young! Our dad and mom were little kids when Elvis died, so they *kind of * remember it.
