The party was held at Mommy's cousin's house, and she has chickens!!! 7 of them!!! This one was her favorite because she had tortie colors. She was also the feistiest of the group and wouldn't stand still for a good picture.
A couple of them even wanted to take selfies! This is our entry in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop hosted by The Cat on My Head. I'll bet it's the first time a chicken joined the hop!
We hear they are going to be "harvested" eventually. This made Mommy very sad, but don't they look yummy?
Note from Mommy: Truffles, the chickens do not look yummy. They are adorable alive. This is what was yummy:

I can attest that the harvesting of chickens is the worst job on the farm
ReplyDeleteI agree! Cute chickens, yummy cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteThe chicken selfies are fantastic. I'm glad you thought to share your feathered cousins for today's blog hop. And your mom looks great in the photo with her parents.
ReplyDelete"Yum" to the cupcakes from Mommy. Definitely the first chickens in the Hop. Now that you have set this precedent, they probably won't be the last. When Mom was a very young girl, she and her sis won baby chicks at the county fair. Their parents let them raise them until they were juveniles. Then she and her dad took them to a farm where Mom thought they were going to live. But when Mom asked to go visit the chickens and her dad called the farmer, he told her dad they had eaten them. Needless to say that was rather traumatic for a four-year-old. Anyway...thanks for joining and supporting the hop. We really appreciate it.
