{52 Snapshots of Life} & Caturday Art: Joyful

The theme for week three of the #PBSG #52Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull is joyful and I chose this picture because Truffles is at her most joyful when she is playing ball. They are without question her favorite toys, and even though in this picture you can't see her precious face, I love how she has her head tossed back in absolute glee.

She has a large ball collection but the latest one she gets is always the greatest. At Christmas in her wonderful Secret Paws gifts she received a package of three balls with sparkles on them. A few mornings later I woke up to find one of them outside my bedroom door, apparently a hint that I should have gotten up in the middle of the night to play. That same night at midnight while I was getting ready for bed she wanted to play, so I stayed up awhile longer with her. It totally over-stimulated her because I don't think she slept 5 minutes all night (I didn't do much better). She was up and down off the bed all night long.

The next night at midnight she started whacking it around again, so before she got too hyper I distracted her with some treats and tucked it under her kitty lounger with her other toys. (Like most women she stashes stuff under the bed.) She finished her treats and watched me finish getting ready for bed. All of a sudden she glanced under the lounger, spotted the ball, and the race was on again!!! After she played for awhile luckily she settled down for the night this time. It's still her "go to" ball each and every day.

I thought the picture would be really cute as a cartoon, so for our Caturday Art entry we applied the Cartoonizer effect in Be Funky.
