Hey everybody, Truffles at the keyboard! I wanted to tell you about what I received from Chewy.com in December: Wellness Divine Duos. I actually got to try these once before when we did a BlogPaws campaign for Wellness. At that time I was sent a sample of the Chicken Pate & Diced Duck. I adored the chicken pate part, but left the diced duck in my bowl, leading Mommy to think that I'm not a fan of duck. So this time we requested the Chicken Pate & Diced Turkey since we know that those are two of my favorite flavors. Before I tell you how my taste test went, here's a little more about Wellness Divine Duos:

When Mommy peeled the lid off the convenient, clean, easy-open container, she actually said that the food looked and smelled yummy! (Um...that's for *me* to decide, Mommy.) Apparently the proper way to serve the food is to flip the container upside down, so that you're left with the diced morsels smothered in gravy heaped on top of the pate. Trouble is, if I were presented with an entire container of food in one serving I would be overwhelmed and walk away. I'm just not that big of an eater, so Mommy forked a small helping into my bowl the way I normally eat.
Not surprisingly, I gobbled down the chicken pate, licked up the gravy, but left behind the diced meat and veggies. Mommy did discover that if she took a fork and mashed the diced part I would pick at it, but not with much gusto. What can I say...I'm just a pate kinda girl, because that part I really did love!

We tried those and like you, while we liked the pate part, we weren't as enthusiastic about the chuck part. But overall it was pretty tasty.
ReplyDeleteTruffles, that sounds like some yummy foods! We is like you - when we had meat chunks in gravy, we tend to eat the gravy and leave the chunks, MOL. We love pate, too, though! :)

ReplyDeleteBrulee eats like you do. She licks all the gravy and eats the pate and tends to leave most of the chunks. Truffle liked everything about it.

ReplyDeleteI like the duos, but the head peep has to fluff up the pate (more than once) for me to finish it off, too, Truffles. So I'm with you on that. -- Pierre
ReplyDeleteYum! We love to try and eat the kitty food! Mom doesn't really like when we do that ...but the kitties always try to eat our food too! If this food gets my picky friends to eat, it must be yummy!
