This year promises to be even more exciting because the best Bowl Commercial of the year may just be on Hallmark's Kitten Bowl! Lucy Pet Foundation's groundbreaking #DogsVsCats football game commercial airing on Super Bowl Sunday, will feature some of the most high-tech CGI ever done using animals, and is bound to be among the most discussed ads of the year, changing the way America looks at cats and dogs forever. The Director of the commercial is Sam Nicholson, one of Hollywood's most acclaimed visual effects wizards, known best for Heroes, 24, The Walking Dead and Star Trek I.
The #DogsVsCats #TheLucyBowl football game commercial will draw attention to the 80,000 pets euthanized each week in shelters across the US, due to overpopulation. The Lucy Pet Foundation has a multi-targeted solution to pet overpopulation:
* Free and Low Cost Mobile Spay & Neuter Clinics across the country (eventually all free!)
* Education
* Grooming and training of shelter pets to make them more adoptable
* Working to enact legislation benefitting pets, including banning gas chambers at shelter
Would you like to see a teaser of the coolest, most technologically advanced, and most societally important commercial ever? Check it out!

Make sure you watch for the Lucy Pet Foundation commercial on Sunday February 1, 2015, during The Kitten Bowl, on the Hallmark Channel at 12/1c.
This post was brought to you in an effort to raise awareness about Lucy Pet Foundation's upcoming ethical pet population campaign. Lucy Pet Foundation provided all images (other than ours of Gilligan) and information about the commercial, and will be entering our site into a drawing for a chance to win $500 towards a 501c3 rescue of our choice! If you are a blogger interested in spreading the word about this campaign, while also enjoying the chance to earn a donation for your favorite rescue, contact bloggers@lucypetfoundation.org and request more information.

We're so glad that this message is getting out to the people who watch the kitten bowl!
We can't wait for the Kitten Bowl We're #TeamCat!
Oh for goodness sake...now, that w/b worth seeing! Let's hope it helps to reduce pet overpopulation and raise public awareness!
we are pretty excited (ok - mom's pretty excited - but Daiquiri has started noticing the TV, so maybe she will watch too)
How we love those bowl games
Lily & Edward
WE're looking forward to it! (But our Mom loves all the feetball games!)
We don't watch football either! Heck, we don't even have cable, so we couldn't watch the Super Bowl even if we wanted to! We DO wish we had cable so that we could watch the Kitten Bow though. Mom and Dad said it sure would be fun to have a Kitten Bowl pawty, like how everyone else has Super Bowl pawties. I wish it were being streamed live online!
We're sooooo #TeamCat. And we're with you - bowl games, schmowl games. Except for #teamHallmark! Hee!
I am with you, I don't care about the football, but I love the Kitten Bowl.
We don;t get the US commercials up here in Canada, we will has to wait until everything is over...
Wes watches the Kitten bowl every year-wes loves it!

Sounds like fun. Unless one of our teams are in the Super Bowl or Bruce Springsteen is playing halftime, the only other reason to watch it is if Pop’s office has a pool. He almost won once. The Kitten Bowl was cute but that got tedious too even though the Yankees’ own John Sterling was announcing it. The Lucy Foundation is a great cause.
It's so exciting ! Go go #TeamCat ! Purrs
This is so awesome!! I would love to see a real live football game. watch live football
