I saw this clock in a catalog and just couldn't resist. After I ordered it I did a little more research on the artist, Lisa Parker, and discovered that this painting, titled "The Witching Hour," is also featured on pillows, journals, jewelry boxes, mugs, t-shirts, even a dream catcher! I think it is absolutely beautiful and just *fits* me so perfectly...the black cat (doesn't she look like Truffles?), the stack of books, the cozy candle flickering away. It's hanging over my bed and now every night I go to sleep listing to it's comforting sounds.
We're entering our artsy clock in Athena's Caturday Art blog hop.
I love the image, and it does look like Truffle. But the ticking would drive me crazy so I'd have to find it on something like a mug.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks like Truffles. We have a similar clock in our home but it has a second hand which Diamond keeps trying to catch. It drives her nuts for some reason.
ReplyDeleteThat is so great!

ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this! It is so intriguing. It's amazing the amount of detail one can see on this black cat! It is an extra challenge to bring out the beautiful detail on black cats and this piece of art did so wonderfully. And I love the rest of it with the books and the clock.
