Meows from Mudpie!
Today we're participating in the 4 Gifts for Pets Blog Hop hosted by Kol's Notes. We're supposed to list something we want, something we need, something to wear, and something to read (or eat). It was started by Mommy bloggers to get a strict handle on what they buy their kiddos. My entry in the hop is going to have a bit of a twist though!
Have you done any shopping yet for the humans in your life? With everything they do for us on a daily basis, they really do deserve something special. I found my forever home this year with a Mommy who adores me. She showers me with toys, treats, yummy food, and warm beds. What more could I possibly need or want but that? (I know, I know. You're all thinking I'm too good to be true right about now. Trust me, there had better be something under that Christmas tree for me or else...and I have a few suggestions at the end of this post!)
So instead of listing gift ideas for kitties, I decided to round up some great gift ideas for all the cat moms out there who cater to our every whim and desire!
Something They Want: Sauerkraut's 'Santakraut' Coffee Cup
Are your humans into all the celebrity cats? My Mommy is just nuts about Sauerkraut. Her Humom and Pops do amazing work for rescue animals and we admire them tremendously. I just might have to slip Mommy's credit card out of her wallet one night and get this for her. (Hey Kraut, can you hook a kitty up?)
Something They Need: Calendars
Every human needs a calendar to keep track of all the things they do when they're not at home pampering their pets! There are loads of pet calendars online at Zazzle.com. Some of our favorites this year include Summer's Outtakes calendar, Cats in Vintage Illustrations, Cats in Fine Art, and the Riverfront Cats Black Cat calendar.
Something to Wear: Classic Literary Cats Art Shirt
If the human in your life loves cats and books as much as mine does, this is the shirt for them. We actually have a notecard of this print framed on a wall. Mommy loves that three of her favorite authors are featured: Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Dickens, and Bram Stoker...and one of the cats is a tortie!!!
Something to Read: Catify to Satisfy: Simple Solutions for Creating a Cat-Friendly Home
Kitties, this is a win/win situation. Catify to Satisfy is a totally pawsome book by the star of My Cat from Hell, Jackson Galaxy, and the queen of Hauspanther, Kate Benjamin, filled with simple DIY design projects to make your home more cat-friendly. Cat owners around the world submitted so many cool ideas, making this is a book you will return to again and again! We received an advance copy and it's inspired us to look for ways to make life even more purr-fect here at our house.
