A New Year's Haiku


Meows from Mudpie!

What do you think of my New Year's haiku?
New year? No big deal.
Resolutions aren't for cats.
Why mess with purr-fect?

Am I right?

I'm not sure how much visiting we're going to be able to do today because Mommy is going to the annual holiday gathering at her dad's family farm. Yes, she's leaving me alone on a holiday.

    Sheba here. Sitting on the couch with my mom, watching The 100 on Netflix. The woman binges on it. Oh well, at least she remembers to pet me now and then. A quick tap of my paw for a gentle hint helps.

    I love our haiku, Mudpie! This mommy is also leaving her furbabies today to go to a family gathering, which just about breaks her heart. But, the furbabies are getting lots of extra cuddles and treats to make up for it. I bet your mom will do the same, Mudpie. Happy New Year, Mudpie and Melissa!
