Today for Sunday Selfies, hosted by our good friends at The Cat on My Head, we have a special guest.
It's become a tradition that at Mommy's family New Year's celebration, her crafter-extraordinaire aunt plans a project for anyone who wants to participate. In 2014 they made a wool feather tree, in 2015 a tree skirt, and this year they made this adorable wine cork reindeer ornament:
It's funny, Mommy is always saying that she doesn't feel like a very creative person, but each year she goes on and on about how much fun the craft project was and how much she enjoyed it. Maybe this will be the year she attempts a little DIY on her own!
She's already trying to figure out how to make a wine cork kitty...

That's a great reindeer! Mom always says that many adults are way more creative that they think. It's just buried under all their adult worries!

Our mom thinks this is adorable and started thinking about how to turn it into a kitty as well. Mom says just change the ears and use one of those fuzzy pipe cleaners for a tail. That's a lovely tradition. I have so many friends who claim, repeatedly, that they cannot craft. I'll bet if I supplied the wine and instructions, I could convince them otherwise. Thanks for the idea!

The cork reindeer is really inneresting. Cuz TBT has about 20 qt size containers of wine corks. So he is gonna stash them in the basement with a note ta find a school that wants ta make reindeers next November.
