When I See Sugar Smile
One of the (many) things I love about the pet blogging community is the way we rally around and support each other during tough times. We all know that awful feeling of fear, uncertainty and helplessness when a beloved pet is ill.
This week we're sending bucket loads of purrs and prayers to our sweet doggie friend Sugar the Golden Retriever who will be undergoing surgery on Friday to remove a mass on her spleen.
In August of 2012 Angel Tara was also diagnosed with a splenic mass so I know what a frightening diagnosis it is. My vet was quite shocked because while they are common in dogs, it's very uncommon in cats. Because of her congestive heart failure surgery was not an option, so our only course of treatment was holistic.
Sugar's smile lights up the pet blogosphere and our thoughts will be with her and her wonderful family on Friday. We completely believe in the Power of the Paw so please join us in telling Sugar how much we love her and that we can't wait until this is all behind her!

We sure have our paws crossed and sending lots of good thoughts to Sugar. We hope the best for her. She does have a great smile. Mudpie, you are looking good too.
We love Sugar's smile and we hope all goes well with her surgery.
Hoping all goes well for Sugar (and, yes, she has a lovely smile).
I did not know of Sugar and her blog until now, so thank you for sharing. I will of course be sending many thoughts and prayers Sugar's way. Both Sugar and Mudpie have lovely smiles!
We hope everything goes well for Sugar and her family.

Mommy loves woofies as much as she does us kitties. She met Sugar and her mom at BlogPaws, and she truly is the sweetest dog. We'll be purring and praying for this sweet girl and her family. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Crossing my fingers for Miss Sugar <3
I am praying for Sugar.
Hopping best for Sugar, pray and crossing fingers.

Very cute graphic, Mudpie! I agree, the pet blogging community really is a community. Cinco, Manna, and I will be sending our prayers and purrs to Sugar. That would be really scary!

You do kinda look like you’re smiling. I started a #pawcircle on Twitter.
Oh, i forgot that Angel Tara had been diagnosed with the same thing. Gosh, your post is filled with super support for Sugar and her family because you have been down the same road. Thank you for that!
We had a dog long ago who underwent surgery for a splenic mass too. The vet was sure it was cancer but it wasn't and our Sunny lived to be fifteen! So we have lots of hope that Sugar will come through this to smile for a long time to come.
It's common for Goldens. I was hoping I can avoid it but its the breed. Many Golden Thanks. I appreciate it very much. Golden Love <3
Gorgeous.
