Yesterday we left you with a bit of a cliffhanger about what Mudpie was up to, and today all will be revealed.
Do you worship cats? Enjoy reading mysteries? Well of course, that's why you're here. (Plus you need your daily dose of Mudpie!)
Crime Box Club is a brand new family-owned subscription box service. Whether your favorite genre is cozy mysteries, teen mysteries, paranormal, true crime, or you'd like a surprise each month...they have a box for you filled with a book or two and "bookish" goodies such as mugs, author book swag, collectibles, mystery or crime magazines and more!
New to the line-up is the "Just Cats" box which includes mystery books that feature a cat as one of the main characters, typically a cozy.
Needless to say, when I stumbled upon Crime Box Club on Facebook I couldn't think of a more purr-fect fit for our blog and was absolutely delighted to be offered a review and giveaway opportunity.
************************
Presentation is everything, right? Crime Box Club arrives packaged in a box sealed with evidence tape, and everything inside is tucked in a real evidence bag! As the company website says, if you use the bag for your lunch at work, no one will try to steal it!
And although there's nothing for kitty inside these boxes, Mudpie is still enjoying the red tissue paper that lined the inside!
We received the March box which contained a set of gorgeous antique cat bookplates, some cute kitty paper clips, an adorable mini post-it pad of a tuxedo cat sitting in a cardboard box, and two brand new paperbacks: A Whisker of Trouble by Sofie Ryan and Pouncing on Murder by Laurie Cass.
For mystery loving ailurophiles these boxes are just the cat's meow. And if you'd like to order one for a gift, the box is ready for gift giving right out of the Priority Mail box - just add a gift tag!
10% of their profits are donated to local charities each month. Currently they are supporting the Hornell Area Humane Society (a no-kill shelter) and the Steuben County Rural Ministry, which provides food and clothing to area residents.
Fun fact: the humans behind Crime Box Club are owned by Twitter star and blogging kitty Awesome Louie! They also authored a book, A Cat Taught Me That: Life's Lessons Learned from Felines. (We'll be giving away a copy next month!)
Of course I wouldn't tease you about this pawsome subscription box without offering a giveaway! One lucky winner is going to win the April box, so what you will be receiving is going to be a surprise! Simply fill out the Rafflecopter below and good luck!!! (US entries only please.)
