Could We Ask a Small Favor?

I know, I know. Using my adorable-ness to ask you for a favor probably seems like a cheap trick, but to tell you the truth Mommy was a bit hesitant about my writing this post but I insisted.

Many of you know that when our blog started almost 5 years ago it was 95% a book blog. Angel Tara was featured every now and then but it wasn't until Truffles arrived that Mommy made the 360 degree switch to being primarily a cat blogger. Truffles was Mommy's inspiration, her muse, and when she went to the Bridge so suddenly last summer this blog became Mommy's outlet to express her grief. Continuing to write about Truffles was therapeutic of her. It still is. It makes the loss seem a little less final.

On July 23rd Mommy wrote a blog post titled Dispatches from the Bridge: Remember Me in Truffles' voice about that horrible last day. It was her way of saying good-bye to Truffles because everything happened so fast that night they never got a chance to say that last farewell. She says the emotion just poured from her soul onto the keyboard and 9 months later she still can't read that post without crying.

That's why I'm asking for your help today. Nominations for the 2016 Nose-to-Nose Pet Blogging and Social Media Awards are now open. These are very prestigious awards in the pet blogging community because judging is done by a panel of distinguished professionals, not by popular vote. All we need to be considered is a nomination from you, our friends who know us best and share our joys and tears everyday here on our blog. So many of you felt the heartbreak of Truffles' passing and we can think of no greater honor to her memory than the chance to be considered in the Best Written Pet Blog Post category for Remember Me.

Words can't sufficiently express how much it means to us that you take time out of your busy schedules to stop by and see what we're up to each day. Truffles left me an amazing group of friends and I can't thank you enough for accepting me into your hearts and homes. Mommy and I wouldn't be doing this if not for each and every one of you!!!
