I'm a pretty simple girl; I'm likely to make a toy out of just about anything. My favorite thing to play with right now is a long stick from the back yard that Mommy pokes in and out of a piece of tissue paper.
The other night Mommy was eating a bowl of grapes while watching TV and when she set them down I decided they might be fun to play with too!
I started by sticking my paw in the bowl but the grapes were still damp and my foot got wet! I didn't like that so I decided to swat at them through the bowl instead.
Of course Mommy thought it was super cute and couldn't grab the iPawd fast enough.
* It's important to note that grapes are toxic to cats and dogs. Mommy knows that I would never try to eat one but I was never left alone with the bowl. *
What weird things have your kitties played with lately?
Anything we can find, MOL! Today it was a milk jug lid.
ReplyDeleteWhen BobbieSue was younger she would play with rubber bands. Now, knowing if she swallowed one whole it might mean super-expensive life-saving surgery for the silly tuxie, mom - thanks to BobbieSue being able to sniff them out, makes sure no rubber bands are ever in this house. What a silly kitty! You look very cute going after those grapes, MudPie. Kudos to your mom for not letting you eat them!!! Love, Toby
ReplyDeleteI bet those grapes are fun to play with, Mudpie. We play with most anything including Two Two who will bat a piece of real chicken around the house instead of eating it. Silly girl. You all have a great day.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best toys are things that aren't supposed to be.
ReplyDeleteThose grapes sure do look like fun, Mudpie! And I don't blame you for playing with them through the bowl, because who wants wet toesies?
ReplyDeleteMy kitties, especially my girls Thimble and Eddy, play with just about anything that will move. Eddy's newest favorite thing is a porcelain napkin holder. It's heavy and bulky, but she's persistent and manages to bat it perilously across the counter anyway. It is in the shape of a kitty, so I don't blame her for thinking it's pretty cool. Purrs!
Picking something to whap at random can lead to the best games sometimes.

ReplyDeleteMy cat pulled the lining pad out the cat bed, dragged it across the room and now he sleeps on just the pad. Our youngest cat likes to play with our food. She thinks human food is toys. The older two cats will eat our food.

My favrit weerd toy is a milk jug ring... ~ AYLA
ReplyDeleteGrapes? TW thought they were Bridge Mix. MOL! Feathers under tissue paper is a great game. I play with anything so long as it isn’t a cat toy. I still play rockets and I like those plastic safety seals from outside vitamin bottles. BTW grapes are VERY poisonous to cats.
ReplyDeleteThe simplest things make the best toys! Lately my cat fell in love with a very small potato and he's play with it like it's a ball :)

Let's see.... A beam of light, a cheese wrapper, a bit of mud tracked on on shoes, shoe laces, dog tails, lint.... And that's just today! Popoki has a lot of kitten left in her, it seems.
