Taste Testing Petcurean's Now Fresh Adult Recipe #ChewyInfluencer

Meows from Mudpie!

This month's Chewy.com blogger outreach email came stuffed full of wet food choices that would make Mommy deliriously happy if I'd only be willing to eat it. Knowing that it's hopeless and I would merely lick the gravy out I talked her into letting me request Petcurean's new Now Fresh Grain-Free Adult Recipe dry food.

Petcurean is a brand we've heard really good things about, and since I refuse to give up my kibble Mommy wants me to have the best quality we can find.

Before I tell you my thoughts, here's some information from Chewy.com:

It's no surprise that cats love the freshness of now. With this Now Fresh Adult Recipe, your cat gets 100% fresh turkey, salmon and duck, and 100% fresh omega 3 & 6 oils from coconuts and canola. It also features wholesome berries, fruits and veggies such as peas, spinach, cranberries, pumpkin, blackberries, alfalfa sprouts, kelp, lentils and carrots. Yum! It contains zero grains, gluten, wheat, beef, corn, soy, rendered meats, by-products or artificial preservatives. This recipe is suitable for cats between 1 and 5 years of age.

Key Benefits:
  • Grain and gluten-free recipe
  • Balanced proteins and fats to promote an active lifestyle
  • Omega oils to promote skin and coat health
  • Pre and probiotics to support healthy digestion
  • Added taurine to support vision and heart function
  • Antioxidants to support increased immunity

So what did I think? Strangely enough, kibble fanatic that I am, I picked at it but definitely still prefer eating my regular food! Mommy was quite surprised and a little disappointed too.

As I typically do when a new food doesn't strike my fancy I sought a second opinion from my friend Milo. He loved it and dove right in!

Since Chewy.com is incredibly generous and sent me an 8 pound bag (a $39.99 value!), I'll most likely keep a portion to give Milo as a treat when he visits and donate the rest of the bag to our favorite shelter. That bag will feed a lot of hungry tummies!

Disclaimer: This food was sent to us for free by Chewy.com as part of their Blogger Outreach Program in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are our own and we never recommend a product we don’t fully believe in.

We're excited to be linking up with the Chewy.com Blog Hop hosted by our good friends Oz the Terrier and Sugar the Golden Retriever.

Old habits die hard, huh, Mudpie? You sound like my Thimble, who loves to beg for moist food but most often just nibbles at it or walks away, and who likes just about one kind of dry food. Well, you ladies must just have very refined taste. Purrs!

Neither of us likes to eat dry food!

We tend to do the same thing with kibble. We'll eat the first few bites, but then want to go back to our regular kibble. We're a little more open with canned food, but like a variety.

Sorry you did't like it Mudpie. But at least the shelter kitties will benefit from it! And Milo of course.

Well, they can't all be winners. We're glad Milo liked it.

We're extremely picky with foods so we totally understand Mudpie. Glad Milo and the shelter kitties will enjoy it though!

Hmmm, I review the Fresh Now tomorrow. I loved it but I got a different variety. It’s always nice to have food for the shelter kitties.
