Many, many thanks to all of you for the purrs and prayers you sent to my Grandpa this week. He's back home and doing as well as can be expected for someone who had his carotid artery cleaned out. Yuck.
Mommy and I are just plain pooped out from helping to take care of him and fighting 90 degree heat so we're planning to get as much rest this holiday weekend as possible.
When she told me it was time to take my selfie for the week, this was my reaction...

I'm so glad your grandpa is home and recovering from his surgery, Mudpie. We are still purring and praying for him, as well as for you and your mommy. I can imagine you and your mommy are tired, but can you really blame her for wanting you to take a selfie? I mean, you're just so darn cute, Mudpie!

What a lovely picture of a sleeping kitty....just like myself.....sleeping keeps us young Mudpie. The more sleep, the younger we get. MOL I was delighted that your grandpa is out of the hospital. The carotid artery...isn't that the major blood supply to the body! Yuck, is right. You and your mom must have been worried sick. Relax during your long weekend and sleep.
