Fun Feline Finds: The Art of Salvador Kitti

I've fallen in love with a painter named Salvador.

No, not Dali...

Salvador Kitti!!!

A studio named after a cat that paints is cute, but Salvador Kitti is so much more. It's a chance to make a difference.

From vibrant paintings to wearable art, Salvador Kitti is dedicated to the important cause of saving animals. When artist Amy Pugh rescued a stray cat she never thought that animal would change her life’s purpose in such a huge way. That cat had 5 kittens inside her Atlanta, GA home, one of them being Salvador, who immediately stood out for his curiosity with her artwork. He would walk over to her paintings and sit and stare, like he was studying them. Soon, Salvador started painting himself, dipping his paws in the paint and walking across the canvas. From here, Salvador Kitti was born.

Now you can carry these vibrant paintings wherever you go and support a great cause at the same time! From bag charms to pouches, wristlets and totes, Salvador Kitti has an amazing line of stylish accessories that’s purr-fect for the whole family!

It’s wearable art with a purpose. A portion of all proceeds is donated to wildlife conservation projects including the Cheetah Conservation Fund that Amy just teamed up with to create a line of beautifully crafted limited edition bags. Now is the chance to showcase your love for animals by supporting Salvador Kitti’s Kickstarter campaign. The funds will help continue the mission of saving the glorious animals from extinction.

I received the Salvador's Reflection cosmetics bag which lives in my purse and nicely holds all those little odds and ends that used to get lost in the dark depths of the over-sized tote. Taken from the artist’s original oil painting, the image is printed on water-resistant microfiber and features foam padding, polyester lining, two interior slip pockets, and a heart-shaped zipper pull. Seeing as how I'm hopelessly addicted to fun cat-related merchandise, I've already picked out a few other designs that I plan to order. At the top of the list is the Paw in the Paint Paw Pouch which can be used as an iPad case or clutch purse.

Salvador Kitti's tagline is “Eat, Paint, Meow”. Doesn't that just make you smile?
