Is It Hot Enough For You? #ThrowbackThursday

As I type this we're suffering through our tenth 90 plus degree day of the summer. While I know that's nothing compared to the heat wave boiling other parts of the country, it's kind of newsworthy in our neck of the woods. Suffice it to say we are NOT big fans of summer here at our house.

Angel Tara had very thick fur and suffered terribly in the summer. I would brush enough fur out of her on a regular basis to make another cat but she would still lie around the house prostrate from the heat.

The following photos are a few of my favorites of Tara. I kept a small desk fan near her at all times, and one day I looked over to see her back legs straddling the fan, her little hips moving as it turned back and forth. How I wish I had videotaped it because it was absolutely priceless!!!

    Tara was lucky she got the fan! Our A/C upstairs in the office and living room doesn't do much. My human is having a hard time thinking. And I'm having a hard time getting her motivated!

    Tara was such a gorgeous girl ... and look at that white belly and her white paws! I doubt Bear would go anywhere near a fan but she looks completely content and totally adorable.

    Oh my goodness, these photo are so cute and precious! And Tara was just gorgeous! It's been miserably hot here as well. It's not all that uncommon for us to have major heat in the summer, but it's still no fun. We had a heat index of 115 F the other day. I think we all melted just a bit that day. Purrs, and stay cool!
