Tortie Shorties Review: I love the Bookmobile Cat mysteries as much as I love cats and books! Whenever I find a mystery series that merges the two things I am most passionate about I just could not be happier.

This is the fifth book in the series and Minnie once again finds herself in the middle of a mystery after stumbling upon a dead body in the library. The victim is the great niece of an elderly friend of Minnie's who recently passed away, explaining her visit to Chilson, but what was she doing in the library when it was closed? As a series of break-ins target the local businesses, it doesn't take long for Minnie to uncover how the crimes are all related, and with her precious partner in crime-solving Eddie riding shotgun, the bad guys don't stand a chance!

If you're like me and find your bliss in cats and books, this is a series that will make you purr with delight. The "conversations" between Minnie and Eddie are just priceless. Truffles got the chance to interview sweet Eddie a couple years ago and if you missed it you can read it here. Sadly, the real life Eddie passed away earlier this year and this book is dedicated to him. I hope Truffles and Eddie have had the chance to renew their conversation at the Rainbow Bridge.

Moving with Cats by Bonnie Elizabeth

Tortie Shorties Review: It's a rarity nowadays but I still live in the house I grew up in and have never undertaken a major move. (A good thing because even contemplating moving all my crap gives me nightmares!) But in the annals of feline literature there's not a lot written about moving with cats, and since one of the top reasons animals are surrendered to shelters is because their owners are moving and can't be bothered to take the necessary steps to bring their furry family members with them, this book is an invaluable resource.

Whether you're moving across town or across the country, moving with your cat is quite doable as long as you make the proper preparations, starting weeks to months in advance if possible. Should you travel by car or plane? What hotel room precautions should you take? What kind of cat carrier should you use? What should you pack in your cat's suitcase? The answers to all of these questions and more can be found in this handy little volume, and even if a move isn't in your future the tips can be applied to any travel from a trip to the vet to exploring if your cat might enjoy being a road warrior!
