Fun Feline Finds & Friendly Fill-Ins

I haven't been asked to help spread the word about this KickStarter project; I'm doing it out of purely selfish reasons because I desperately want to see it succeed! (I'm sure you won't have any trouble figuring out why.)

The Purrista Pawfee coffee shop plush cats have already been wildly popular, and the latest in the line is the Torta-shell plush. I've made my pledge and cannot wait to see this little cutie in purr-son!!!

Also, if your travels this weekend happen to take you near at TJ Maxx store, stop in and pick up one of these adorable reusable totes. They can typically be found at the front of the store near the cash registers and they're only 99 cents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

******************************************************************

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader!

Mommy's answers:

1) The last movie I saw at the theater was a special event screening of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. This was last September, and the year before I went to a 75th anniversary screening of Gone with the Wind. Except for the opportunity to see my all-time favorites on the big screen I'd much rather watch a movie at home. (Who remembers Mudpie's recreation of Psycho's famous shower scene???)

2) I am glad that I learned how to drive, because I enjoy it far more than I thought I would. I didn't get my driver's license until I was 30. I was petrified to start driving and avoided it at all costs for as long as possible. My dad used to laugh at me for being such a huge NASCAR fan, yet I was afraid to drive. Now I love being behind the wheel!

Mudpie's answers:

3) The title of my autobiography would be Some Days You're the Mud, Some Days You're the Pie.

4) I would love to learn to enjoy wet food. I'm trying, honest I am, and I know I'm driving Mommy crazy but I just prefer my kibble! I have one brand of wet that I eat some of each day, and Mommy rotates others that I'm willing to eat once every few weeks, but I'm one stubborn kitty and I refuse to eat it exclusively. Maybe one day!

The Torta-shell plush is very cute and I must go buy one of those bags this weekend!

Angel Piper loved kibble - she rarely ate wet food, so don't feel bad about it, Mudpie!

How cute! What could be better than kitties and cakes. :) Best wishes for the success of their project!

If you get what you need from the kibble and have plenty of water, why would you have to eat the wet food if you don't want it? Is there a reason that you need to eat wet food sometimes? We gave our Xerxes wet food when the vet prescribed it for him after his Feline Leukemia diagnosis. He loved wet food anyway. At the point it was prescribed, he wasn't really strong enough to eat his kibble anymore. :(

Your NASCAR comment made me grin. David is always referring to me as Richard Petty and when our oldest son was a baby, he called him Kyle. I do tend to have a lead foot, though I have gotten much better about that since we've moved here to Texas. Everybody else is driving in excess of 75mph and I'm doing 55mph. They love to get behind me. haha Flip side of that is my Zoomie can do 80mph and it is such a smooth ride that I don't realize the speed has crept up that fast. I'm sure I give Zoomie whiplash once I notice and take him back down to 55. :)

Gone With the Wind is one of my all-time favorite movies, too. The original Psycho was great. I haven't seen any remakes of it.

Have a blessed day!

We didn't know that you didn't learn to drive until late. Good for you for overcoming your fears!

It's not easy to overcome fear, congratulations to you on that! The toy looks like fun.

The cats here would gladly eat me out of house and home in wet food if i could afford to give it to them.

You always find such amazingly fun and cute items to share with us! Torta-shell. Brilliant!

And, we love both of your fill-ins, Melissa and Mudpie! Somehow, though I love horror movies, I have never seen Psycho. What is wrong with me?!? And, I love to drive. I am so glad that you conquered your fear and now love to drive, too.

Mudpie, I really hope you write that autobiography, because that would simply be purrfection! As for that wet food, you're just like my kitties, Mudpie. I would certainly love for both you and my kitties to learn to love moist food, that's for sure!

Purrs!

Thanks, Melissa and Mudpie. Happy weekend, to you.

Thank you both for participating in the fill-ins, I enjoyed all the answers. I think that is an awesome name for an autobiography Miss Mudpie- get writing. Driving does give us so much independence which is why so many elderly seem to go downhill when they can no longer drive. I can't drive on highways and I really should practice. I must get to a TJMaxx! And those stuffed cakes are adorable. Have a great weekend!

We totally agree with you on #4, Mudpie. We get fed a small amount of were food in the morning and evening, but most of us only like one flavor and prefer our kibble! The title of your autobiography cracks us up! Our mom never wanted to drive and she doesn't enjoy it that much. She was forced to learn in high school as Driver's Ed was mandatory. We really liked the fill-ins this week. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

When I was at the shelter, I only got kibble. When I came home and saw wet food, I thought that was the greatest treat ever. I must admit, though, presented with a choice of gut rot or kibble, I’ll take the kibble every time. PS: TW wants that tote but doesn’t know of a T Maxx. She can get you the $$ for one.

Those were terrific answers and I understand being the mud!

I love all four answers! And, Mudpie, that is an excellent memoir name!
Wet food is a bit over-rated. Ours eat dry, prescribed by the vet. I always recommend going by what a vet says for each critter.
Thank you for joining us for the Fill-Ins. Hugs!
