Pet Blogger Bloopers Round-Up & Friendly Fill-Ins

Meows from Mudpie!

Today we're joining the The Pet Blogger Bloopers Round-Up, hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull. It's the place to be on the second Friday of each month to see your favorite bloggers' blooper photos. This is a blog hop dedicated to showcasing the results of those photo sessions that have gone off the rails!

Mommy deserved what she got with this picture. It was just before bed one night and I was taking a bath, "letting it all hang out," so to speak. When I saw her grab the camera I abandoned my bathing for a more private location.

We've also decided to start joining the fun with the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader! As we've read our fellow bloggers' answers to these creative questions we've seen what a great way it is to learn more about each other. Depending on what we have going on each week we might incorporate our answers into another weekend blog hop, and we plan to alternate answering.

This week Mommy is taking the first two questions and I'm taking the second two.

Mommy's answers:

1. I can’t wait for the new season of Heartland on television. Living in Vermont I'm able to get Canadian television which is how I discovered this amazing family show set on a horse ranch in Alberta. The 10th season is scheduled to premiere October 2nd, making it the longest-running one-hour scripted drama in the history of Canadian television. For those of you who don't get CBC, previous seasons are currently available on the UP cable network and Netflix!

The other show I'm waiting to return is Bates Motel (the Psycho prequel), but that won't come back until early 2017 and sadly it's going to be the final season :(

2. In my home, much of the plumbing needs to be repaired (and/or replaced). I need a new toilet installed, there's a strange thumping noise in the kitchen faucet, and every day I say a little prayer that the ancient hot water heater and sump pump don't die. Household water disasters are my greatest fear so I keep putting off dealing with these issues.

Mudpie's answers:

3. I thought I lost my beloved toy known as Baby, but my grandma helped me find it. I love tossing Baby in the air and I had flung it on top of a pile of Mommy's junk!

4. Once, I found a creepy black bug in the hallway and I wanted to play with him! The little guy wasn't long for this world once Mommy discovered what we were up to :(

I don't think it's right to take bathing photos of kitties either, Mudpie! Even worse are when my human wants to take photos of me getting a show bath - and I can't even leave!

Sometimes a girl just needs her privacy, huh, Mudpie? And sometimes peeps just don't have any boundaries. The furbabies here at our house feel your pain, Mudpie.

And, I have been so hoping that you would do the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge! We knew you would have wonderful answers, and that you sure do! I've been considering trying out Bates Motel, and I just may have to do that, given how fond of it you are. Also, my house needs some repairs that I've been putting off, too. If only ignoring them would just make them go away. Mudpie, I am so glad your grandma helped you find Baby. It would have been so sad to hear that it was missing! And, again with the bugs disappearing at the hands of peeps, the furbabies around here feel your pain, Mudpie.

Bear Cat is well known for flinging his toy mice in the air. I couldn't figure out where they were disappearing to because they weren't UNDER the furniture. But I found a couple on the top of the 7 foot tall entertainment center (I was moving something up there and came across them) and another couple tangled up in the cords behind the TV (which meant they went OVER the entertainment center). Bear doesn't like his bathing pictures being shared either ... thought he doesn't mind the related hint to a certain foxy tortie that she's on his mind :)

Water repairs are always a pain. I think I have replaced more toilets in this house than I did in all of our other houses combined. But, then again, we have lived in this house longer than we lived anywhere else. I am glad the kitty found baby. Have a great week.

I didn't know there was a prequel to Psycho. How interesting!

Our house is a plumbing nightmare and has been since the day we moved in. We hadn't even been here a day before we were flooded because of bad plumbing. It has been one battle after another these last 11 years.

I'm glad that you were able to find Baby. :)

Have a blessed weekend!

Mudpie, sometimes it is just time to get up and leave. We like your fill-in answers a lot. You all have a great day.

I don't blame you for putting an end to that photo shoot, Mudpie! We just recently started following the Friday Fill-ins, and it looks like a lot of fun. Good luck with that plumbing!!

Thank you both for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I would fear the plumbing too, leaks can cause a lot of damage and mold. I have never heard of that show, but it sounds good. Same thing is happening to Grimm as Bates Motel, comes back in January for a shortened final season. Why do they cancel popular shows?
I am glad you found your toy Miss Mudpie and I love your blooper- you are like The Flash :) Have a great weekend.

You're beautiful, no matter what you're doing, Mudpie, but you have to draw the line somewhere. :)

We had a MAJOR water disaster last year....our kitchen drain pipe broke and we ended up having to replace EVERYTHING! It was a mess!!

Smart of you to run when the flashy box came out!

I'm hearing lots of plumbing/water issues lately. Our toilet mysteriously cracked but found all the water woes are about feng shui elements imbalance. Incorrectly placed water fountains can cause havoc.

I've heard that Heartland is an excellent show! I also tend to put off taking care of repairs that I think are going to be involved or expensive. Water disasters in the house are terrible though, I've had a water heater burst in the past! Toby is very good at finding toys that have been flung afar, but sometimes misses the ones right under his nose! Oh yes, those living creature toys, we humans just aren't very understanding, especially if the play partner is a lizard or a mouse!!!

Whoa! That's a lot of fixing to be done. Don't wait till you need Noah's Ark to get them fixed. Heh. Baths should not be innerrupted by flashy boxes.

How cool that you get Canadian television. They have lots more hockey on than we do here in the states, and the head peep thinks that's pawesome.

We sure do understand your concerns about the plumbing! Mom worries at times about that kinda thing too. WE have an ancient pump that pumps all the water into the house. When the maintenance was done on it last January the man said it would probably need to be replaced so Mom asked him about the cost and he said around $6000. Mom nearly fainted. That pump is over 30 years old so it makes sense it needs to be replaced. But still....

Bath photos should always be forbidden. We're glad you walked off, Mudpie. It's too bad you didn't get to play with that creepy bug. It sounded like fun.

We have been enjoying completing the fill-ins for a few weeks now and even more so getting to know our bloggy friends better. Happy you have decided to join. Mudpie, most of the photos our mom takes look just like that one, but she always forgets about the bloopers. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Mudpie, I'm right there with you on walking away from the camera! We get to see your pretty colors in action.

Good for you doing the fill-ins. The lady really loves reading them and enjoys doing them but they take her a while and work has a tendency to get in the way. Heartland sounds like a good show!

We loved the action picture! We have those a lot too.

I am so glad you joined us! Great answers, too! We have been upgrading our plumbing and electrical. We still have to finish the kitchen. One piece at a time. *sigh*

Our cats all eat bugs, too. Unless I stop them! Grizelda loves spiders and centipedes; maybe it is the legs. *augh*

Thanks for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins! Hugs!

Okay, so you know our mom is a geek, right? Have you ever heard of water hammer? That MIGHT be what's going on with your kitchen faucet, and if you have a shut off valve under your sink, it might be an easy fix. Here's the link to xplain it: http://home.howstuffworks.com/home-improvement/plumbing/how-to-fix-pipes5.htm

Heather has figured out what the camera is for. Even if it were a decent camera, or I were a decent photographer, I'd have no further chance...she wants to stage-manage pictures of other cats!
