Book Review: The Amaw-zing British Murder Mystery by Alannah Rogers (& Box Set Giveaway!)

Best friends Beatrice and Matthew are finally going on holiday in England to eat scones, take in the countryside, and maybe even rekindle their romance. And yet, it's not long before a dreadful murder strikes their B&B in a tiny Cornish seaside town.

Everyone, from the innkeepers to the guests, is a suspect so it's up to Beatrice, the cantankerous local inspector, and of course her three crime-fighting cats, to pin down the elusive killer. Beatrice may be on holiday but for this sixty-three-year-old amateur sleuth, solving mysteries always comes first!

This novella is the ninth in the Beatrice Young cozy cat mystery series and the purrfect choice if you only have an hour or so to spend reading on a busy day.

Every adventure with Beatrice and her trio of crime-solving kitties is a joy, but this one was extra special to me as I'm such a huge Anglophile. Taking place in Trevbridge, a tiny town by the sea in Cornwall, Beatrice, the cats and her ex Matthew are vacationing at a cozy little B&B. Murder follows them on their little getaway when another man staying at the B&B is found dead in his room. With a limited number of suspects it becomes apparent that everyone is trapped with a killer, and Beatrice takes it upon herself to save the day...with the help of her four-legged friends, of course.

Pour yourself a spot of tea and lose yourself in Beatrice's British caper!

And if you haven't been with Beatrice from the very beginning, author Alannah Rogers is offering our readers a pawsome giveaway! One lucky winner in the US will receive a box set of the first 5 books in the series!
