One night a couple weeks ago I walked into the living room to find Mommy sitting on the floor with two huge Chewy boxes! Fully expecting to find them packed full of goodies for me, I ran right over to see what was inside.
You'll never believe what I found...
Christmas tree ornaments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was horrified but Mommy said the look on my little face was priceless, so she grabbed the iPad and captured the moment.
I also need to tell you some exciting news. I finally gently broke it to Mommy that her iPad and Kindle Fire just aren't cutting it anymore when it comes to pictures of me. I am a professional blogger after all, and I need a camera that captures all my tortie deliciousness. I gave her permission to use some of my hard-earned money to buy a "real" camera, and since she's a pretty savvy shopper she managed to score us a pawsome deal!
This is going to be a pretty big learning curve for her because photography is practically a second language, but with a model like me she's sure to be inspired to master our new flashy box as quickly as possible!

Well, that must have been a bummer, seeing all those ornaments instead of Chewy goodies, Mudpie! It sounds like your human will have fun taking photos of you with the new camera. It's really not that hard to learn, says my human (who should know better than to say such things considering that she learned about photography as a child).
OMC!
No treats! Dang!!!
We hope your mum got you some treats for this disappointment.
We look forward to seeing the pictures of you from the new camera!

If your mom likes to take photos, learning to use the camera will be a lot of fun with a bit of frustration, but take it slow with her and you guys will do fine.
Did she at least let you play with the ornaments? What a sneaky mommy! Have fun with the new camera :)
Your face is always adorable, Mudpie, and this expression is no exception! I know a Chewy box usually means something different, but these ornaments are all too cute to argue. And we cannot wait to see the photos using your new camera! You're a purrfect model and look beyond cute no matter what device is used, but I think you and your mommy will love this little change up! Purrs to you!
Aww, Mudpie, and good luck with the new camera, Mommy.
Oh, Mudpie ... I'd sleep with one eye open if I were your Mommy (or so experience tells me). I HATE cameras. For a long time, I gave up on taking pictures of Bear because I couldn't figure out how to take ones I could be proud of. When I started blogging I hate to bite the bullet and MAKE myself take a billion bad pictures before I got a few good ones. And now that I MOSTLY have the hang of this camera, I'm too scared to switch!
Please be careful you don't drop the new camera before you take the photograph of your pretty tree.
That was a nasty trick! I hope that you got some treats anyway. :) I can't wait to see the new photos of you. You are a beautiful girl, Mudpie. I'm sure your Mom will figure out the camera thing pretty quickly.

Concats on that new flashy box! And look at that box of kitty toys/ornaments!
Congratulations on the new camera! And speaking as someone who had a similar learning curve recently, let me tell you that many of these new cameras do have a point-and-shoot function. If you use that, it isn't so hard. Then you can work up to fancier settings when your skills improve. Good luck!

She repurposed the boxes??? Geez...
I bet that was quite the shocker! Looks like there are some great ornaments to play with, though 😉.
How very exciting that you have purchased a new camera for your Momma. Can't wait to see your pics ❤
Poor kitty being fooled by those boxes. I can't wait to see the pics your new camera takes.
You do know that with the new flashy box, your mom is going to be following you all over the place trying to take your picture. No rest for you! :)
I'm very excited to see the pictures from your new camera. Good luck. I hope to be stepping up to that challenge soon. I hope you got some good treats anyway Mudpie!
I would've jumped right into that box! Her fault if anything in there breaks. Concats on the camera. All we have are a couple of print and shoot cameras. TW used to have a real good analog camera but everything she shoots now is on automatic setting. She can't be bothered with speeds and settings.
That was a messed up trick, for sure, Mudpie. ConCATS on the new flashy box! We bet Mommy and you will be pros with it very soon. :)
Those ornaments automatically turn into cat toys when they are put on a tree. 😉 Good luck with your new camera.
LOLOL!!!! What a mean trick!
I always laugh when I take the tree out of storage because one year my bf and I discovered our dog lifting his leg to it and it was slow-mo simultaneous "NOOOOOOOs!!!" from both of us :) Thankfully that never happened again (that we know of anyway).
Best of luck with your new camera!!!
seriouslies? no chewy treats? maybe you should sneak off with one of the ornaments and look innocent... mol.
Wow, your mom sure does have a lot of ornaments! Can't wait to see the pictures of gorgeous you that she takes with her new camera.
