Back in November Mommy got her new digital camera and as we expected there's been a bit of a learning curve. Needless to say, we've played around with it a lot and shortly after taking pictures of our Secret Paws package the batteries that came with the camera died. She replaced them immediately only to discover the next day they were already dead! Who knew the cheapo "heavy duty" batteries from the dollar store weren't meant for digital cameras??? (Do you believe me now when I tell you how hopeless Mommy is when it comes to photography?)
Well, at this point she couldn't get back to the store before Christmas to get some alkaline batteries but we wanted to get our Secret Paws post up right away so she took out the SD card and pulled the pictures from there. But when we were finally able to connect the camera to our laptop, we found a few pictures that for some reason weren't on the SD card.
At first we were just going to add them to our original post but then decided they might go unseen, so why not give them a post of their very own?
Our amazing Christmas blankie before I set up permanent housekeeping on it!
Mommy knew she got a non-blurry picture of me with my new wand toy! (Well, the toy is a blur but I'm not!)
Thank you again to our sweet friends Allie, Ellie and Raz, aka The Florida Furkids!
I love your blankie and that wand looks like a lot of fun! ☺
ReplyDeleteThat blankie is cute. We love want toy's too!
ReplyDeleteCool photos - my human is always trying to get one of me in focus while a toy is blurry!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got a lot of neat (ie FUN) things, Mudpie. We always love to see pictures of your tortie gorgeousness! Hopefully your Mommy will take lots and lots of pictures to share with us! ps - I had no idea the cheap batteries weren't for digital cameras ... that's strange.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful surprise photos!! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteLots of good stuff. We have some of those fleece blankies and they sure are comfy!
ReplyDeleteThese are so fun and festive! We still love seeing Christmas photos, even if the big day itself is past. Oh, and how did you two fare in the recent winter storm, Mudpie and Melissa? Did you get lots of snow? We hope you hunkered down and stayed inside cuddling!
ReplyDelete(P.S. I've had a lot of luck using rechargeable Energizer batteries in my camera. I charge them, use them often for weeks at a time, and then recharge them to repeat the cycle. I have the same problem as you with regular batteries - the camera just zaps them right up!)
That blankie is so cute! Cameras are a bit of a mystery sometimes, aren't they? It takes some trial and error to figure out what works best with your particular camera.
ReplyDeleteThose are great gifts, you are a lucky girl.
ReplyDeleteOh wow what pawesome gifts and we LOVE the blanky!!! ❤️
ReplyDeleteSo many great gifts Mudpie! Secret Santa was very generous :)
ReplyDeleteLook at those pawtastic gifts!!! <3
ReplyDeleteYippee for great Secret Paws gifts! Those look like fantastic fun things!
ReplyDeletethose will keep Mudpie busy for a long time to come!
ReplyDeleteThose photos came out really well! Digital cameras eat batteries like Cookie Monster eats cookies. Rechargable batteries are definitely the way to go. You got some really amazing stuff for Christmas! The blanket is adorable. :)

Aww, Mudpie, love the pics and your blanket.
ReplyDeleteCute pictures. Get some rechargeable batteries,
ReplyDeleteit will make your life easier.
We really like that blanket. We bet you never leave it...'cept to eat.
ReplyDeleteCool pics. Stock up when Walgreens has their batteries BOGO. They don't last as long as Energizer but lots longer than cheapo batteries. Our camera won't even turn on if TW tries the Kodak batteries.
ReplyDeleteYour fleecy blanket looks cozy and you have books to snuggle up and read.
ReplyDeleteWhat great gifts, and what a treat to find the hidden photos :)
ReplyDeleteLove that blankie! I also have that cat coloring book.
