How amazing is this effect I found on Photo Lab??? I had planned to do something autumnal this week, but since Mother Nature seems to have forgotten to look at the calendar, I stuck with flowers!

1. I would never be friends with someone who could harm an animal. You aren't even human to me if you could do such a thing.
2. I will never refuse anything with hummus on it. A year ago I didn't even know what hummus was but I've become obsessed. (I'll probably end up making myself sick of it eventually.) As I type this I have a burrito with hummus on it sitting in the fridge and my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
3. I have never been to the beach, but I don't feel like I've missed out on a thing. Sand, water, hot sun...none of it appeals to me one bit.
4. When it comes to sewing, I am absolutely hopeless.

P.S. My human is with you on the beach thing. She doesn't live that far from the beach (maybe an hour or less), and she never goes. Next time she has to go to Santa Monica, she may stop at the pier for a cup of clam chowder, but that's it.

I love love love this masterpiece starring you, Mudpie! The flowers were a wonderful choice for these warm days, but the autumnal colors make it extra beautiful.
We really are like twins. Your answers would have all worked for myself, too. Your #4 made me chuckle, because I am pretty much the only woman in my entire family who can't and so does not sew. My skills with textiles are pretty much zero.

The sound of the ocean is just beautiful, you don't have to go when it is hot, evening on the beach and early morning watching the sunrise are just magnificent. I thought autumn when I saw your art. Agreed with 1 and 4. TW isn't a beach person but loved getting her feet wet in Myrtle Beach. She actually misses going every once in a while. She used to make this hummus stuff. a can of chick peas, lemon juice, garlic, etc. She hates the store-bought one with olives.
That sure makes us think fall, Mudpie, which is nice since it's 90 degrees today.
The Hubby makes black bean hummus, which tastes out of this world! On sprouted wheat bread toast, with curry powder sprinkled on top...heaven!
I agree, anyone who would harm an animal is a beast. I feel bad when I have to kill snakes. I try to get them out of the house without killing them. Sometimes we can do that. When they strike, we have to change our plans.

The art is absolutely gorgeous. Fall has not fallen here yet either. Upper 80s the last few days, and that will continue through the week. Mom is incredulous that Mom Melissa has never been to the beach. One of our mom's very favorite things is listening to the waves. I love hummus! I recently discovered it, and wow! I am hooked! The beach that I love is the Lake Superior coastline. I am not one to lie in the sun, etc. I like a good walk along the shore, watching wildlife and finding artifacts. I can sew by hand and mend. I actually like to do it, too. I love your art. And thank you for participating in the fill-ins. You are not missing a thing at the beach, I can't believe I used to like it when I was younger, now I am repulsed by the smell of the ocean.
