Purring for the World #CaturdayArt

Meows from Mudpie!

Hurricanes, earthquakes, and wildfires...oh my! Goodness, who ticked the Big Guy upstairs off, anyways? The company Mommy works for is based in Stuart, Florida, we have family in Ocala, and so many blogging friends throughout the state, so we're watching Irma especially closely. I'm purring for everyone in the path of nature's wrath.

Then yesterday we were stunned to hear the news that country duo Montgomery Gentry's Troy Gentry was killed in a helicopter crash. Mommy met him and Eddie at a concert back in 1995 in New York and they were scheduled to be in Vermont in November. Such tragic events should teach people to be more like us kitties and live in each day because tomorrow isn't guaranteed..

My artwork this week, created in Photo Lab, reflects how so many of us are feeling lately.

And now our weekly answers (answered by Mommy) for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader!

1. September bucket list: 1. Continue decluttering 2. Fall cleaning to get ready for Halloween and Christmas decorations going up! 3. Holiday blog planning.

2. If I came with a warning label, it would say "Keep away from kitchen utensils". On two different occasions I've accidentally left kitchen utensils in the oven to burn. One was a plastic turkey baster and it stunk up the house for months whenever the oven was on (in spite of practically having to take the oven apart to scrape off the melted plastic). Then just a couple weeks ago I snapped a peeler right in half while peeling a cucumber. It's become a joke at my house that I'm deadly when it comes to kitchen utensils.

3. Truth be told, I'd rather be with animals than just about any person on earth.

4. I would rather curl up on the couch with Mudpie and a book than do anything else.

Wow...I could have written these. Seriously; including the utensils! I almost said that, for #3. I would rather be with animals. It is easier for me, and more fulfilling. Truth be told. Hugs!

Lovely art, Mudpie. This is such an upsetting time right now. We're so concerned for our friends who Irma is coming towards.

What a beautiful and stunning image, Mudpie. It really does capture how so many of us are feeling these days. All of the tragedy these days can be so difficult to process, but we are sending out our purrs and prayers to all those who need them.

I love your fill-ins. You and I really are so much alike. These fill-ins could have all worked for me as well. Even your bucket list items, they're all things I'm doing as well! I love cooking and baking, yet I have melted, burnt, and all out destroyed so many kitchen items. Even pot holders aren't safe at my house. And your answers to #3 and #4 are purrfection. Purrs and happy Saturday, Mudpie and Melissa!

Beautiful image, Mudpie. Hoping those in Irma's path will be safe and others can begin recovery from all these disasters.

Wonderful photo! Hoping your family (and your company) is safe.I have a brother and sister-in-law in Miami and a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law in Plantation, thankfully (for now) Irma is veering more to the West, but she could change again. I am praying for all who have been affected by Harvey and Irma. catchatwithcarenandcody

Mudpie's art is beautiful. That is very sad about Troy Gentry.
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. At least you didn't harm yourself with the utensils :) I could have had the same answers for 3 and 4. XO

We love your art this week, Mudpie. Very thoughtful looking. And we are purring for everyone affected by Harvey, that will be affected by Irma...and all those affected by the terrible fires going on too. So sad...

Gorgeous art, MP. Climate change is wrecking havoc on everything. All storms, earthquakes, wildfires are more severe now than they ever were.
TW said in her art the two cats were me and Buzz in silhouette only the way the pic was taken, you can't see me. Buzz is an orange kitty but he just might as well have been a tortie! You can pretend.

Our Mommy is rough on kitchen utensils too, she snapped a handle right off a pan, melted a spoon on the burners and there were other accidents with them, but we won't embarrass her further.

Your art is just perfect, Mudpie. It is beautiful but somber. Keep your mommy out of the kitchen!
