We created this Caturday Art project last week with the intention of saving it for Veterans Day, but after the tragic events that unfolded in Las Vegas we decided to share it today. While every terrorist attack is a senseless tragedy, this one hit particularly close to home as we're such huge country music fans at our house.
Have you seen the video that was shot just an hour before the attack of the concert-goers singing "God Bless America" with Big & Rich? To think that so many lights were extinguished forever just a short time later.
While we can't let these attacks change our way of life, I sure don't want Mommy attending any large gatherings anytime soon. The world is just too crazy right now.

1. October is the perfect time to start planning for the holidays. So many people get overwhelmed by the holidays because they wait until the last minute. It does not have to be so stressful!
2. Halloween is my second favorite holiday of the year. Christmas is first, of course.
3. Every October, I decorate for Halloween. We'll be showing you some of our favorite new pieces soon!
4. My experience with the supernatural world is pretty non-existent. I love hearing from those who have had experiences though, and would love to some of my own!
That is lovely art - the Las Vegas massacre was upsetting for all of us, I think.
ReplyDeleteThe Vegas massacre was so sad - so many people lost. :(
ReplyDeleteYou are a very thoughtful kitty, Mudpie. We love your artwork and your words. Purraying for better times <3 Pawkisses for a Peaceful Weekend :) <3
ReplyDeleteYour art is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLas Vegas was horrendous and it beggars belief how anyone could do such a thing.
We like your artwork Mudpie.
ReplyDeleteWe are also very sad at what happened in Las Vegas.
We like your answers to the fill-ins too.
mum says that her only experience with the supernatural world is through the TV show with Sam and Dean ;)

That is some beautiful and thoughtful art, Mudpie. Las Vegas has been on my mind all week. The attack was sickening and heartbreaking. Prayers for more peaceful times to come. On a lighter note, I would love to have a supernatural experience too (I think)!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful piece of art. We also have been sending our thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the tragedy in Las Vegas.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yet again, your fill-ins prove that we're pretty much identical! Purrs!
What a beautiful tribute to the tragedy in Las Vegas.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful artwork. Thank you for sharing this now. We are also happy that you join us for fill-ins.

Very nice artwork. It's not enough anymore to just get upset and grieve when these things happen. We should all call out Congress people and tell them we need some level of gun control.
ReplyDeleteYour art is beautiful. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. It amazes me how similar we are :) I can't wait to see your new Halloween items. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful, Mudpie. We send lots of purrs to all those affected by the horrible event in Las Vegas...especially the families of those that lost their lives. So sad.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words Mudpie--you are a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteYour picture is heartfelt and wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe event was truly terrible and so utterly terrible that we thin gun control needs to be addressed right now. Being able to snuff out so many honest and good lives isn truly evil.
Your art work is stunning. With so many natural disasters and now this tragic man-made one, Mom says it is very hard to stay happy and keep a positive attitude. She doesn't want to do anything that involves crowds either. She says all she can do is pray that this madness ends, and she fears it will not work. ReplyDeleteThat's very nice artwork, Mudpie.
ReplyDeleteNice art, and beautiful tribute to the people of Las Vegas. Purrs
ReplyDeleteSo sensible getting ready for celebrations later in the year - I really need to start my Christmas shopping as I have to post it to Australia. Love your artwork.
