Meows from Mudpie!
Did you catch our post last night about the artist looking for submissions for her 2019 calendar project? It's going to be a fun opportunity for some very lucky kitties. The project actually inspired my Caturday Art this week. I used the watercolor effect in LunaPic, then applied the snowflake border. (We saw our first snow flurries yesterday, so the timing is purrfect!) Then I put my own spin on a classic holiday song.
Did you notice we've started using our Christmas blog header? Veterans Day is the start of the season at our house...the tree goes up on Monday!

And now our weekly answers (answered by Mommy) for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader!
1. The best part of where I live is the fall colors. There's really no more beautiful place to be from late September through October.
2. The worst part of where I live is mud season. All that snow has to melt eventually. In spite of Mudpie's name, I'm no fan of mud ;)
3. If I had unlimited funds, I would build sanctuaries all over the world to protect animals.
4. My favorite article of cold weather clothing is my collection of Christmas sweatshirts. I wear them all winter because they're so warm and cozy!
What pretty winter-y art! Wow, you do get started early for Christmas - my human is planning to get a new tree. Note the word planning... it means she hasn't gotten around to it yet, much less thinking about decorating!
ReplyDeleteYour art is very pretty. You have lovely eyes.
ReplyDeleteSnow flurries?! Watch your language!! We're (mom and dad) aren't quite ready for the cold. I think they're just getting old. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful masterpiece of you, Mudpie! And we are so excited to see your Christmas header. Yum, Christmas pudding! Wonderful fill-ins as well, of course! I just love going places where the autumn colors are especially stunning. And I'm 100% with you on #3. Purrs!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Mudpie! I’m with Mommy on #3.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool pic!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty art Miss Mudpie. Thank you to your mom for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I love the fall foliage too, we are lucky we don't get a lot of mud like
ReplyDeleteyou do in Vermont. I love your answer to #3. Have a nice weekend! XO
I think your artwork is very pretty, Mudpie. It looks cold, but it feels warm :) Hot Pawkisses for a warm Caturday :) <3
ReplyDeleteWonderful piece of kitty art. Mudpie is such a cute cat and a fun name. Great answers to the fill ins.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, Mudpie! That effect really brings out the texture in your pretty fur. Seeing the fall colors in New England is on my bucket list. I will surely not vacation there in mud season! I missed you guys too while I was gone. Can you believe there were no kitties there?! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful art!

ReplyDeleteI always wanted to do the animal sanctuary thing too for sure! Also, my first husband was Catholic and I used to LOVE to decorate for Christmas and I had Christmas sweatshirts too! Love them! Love your artwork!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your art with the widdle red tongue showing. TW is surprised that you didn't say Bernie Sanders for #1. Heh heh! You know we're pushing your button but we love ya and mean well.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Mudpie. But sorry...as much as we like Christmas, the tree won't be going up this soon in our house.
ReplyDeleteYou are a true artist!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend sweetie...
