Meows from Mudpie!
Today we wanted to tell you about a fun event my alma mater, North Country Animal League in Morrisville, Vermont, has coming up this weekend.
The theme of this year's fundraiser is "Menagerie Goes Honky Tonk" and includes traditional live and silent auctions, a raffle, live music and dancing, mechanical bull rides and a buffet dinner. This is your chance to escape the winter doldrums, don your best country-western attire, and have fun while supporting animals.
Check out the ridiculously adorable video series the shelter produced starring the gorgeous Mamacita who is currently looking for her forever home at NCAL. Go ahead and start tapping your toes...we won't tell!
If it weren't for the wonderful peeps at NCAL I wouldn't have found my forever home with Mommy, so we'll always be eternally grateful to them! They do such amazing work for the homeless animals in our community. Mommy has chatted with the shelter volunteers at at couple PetSmart adoption events since bringing me home and they even remember me! (Not sure if that's because I'm simply unforgettable or because I was so anti-social I had to be sequestered in various offices throughout my time with them...teehee!)
If you're in our neck of the woods and would like to attend (or make a donation to NCAL), tickets can be purchased here. YEE-HAW!!!

OMC, that Mamacita has real star quality! I looked at her page and it says she was an owner surrender?! What, was her "owner" nuts?! She needs a home - and a blog!
That sounds like fun! Mamacita looks like a great cat, and anycat who looks good in a cowboy hat is all right by me. I agree with Summer--she needs a home and a blog!
What a fun event! Mamacita is great. This should find her a home in no time.
Too cute! Hope they have lots of fun (and raise lots of money).
Very cute video. :)
Sounds like a great event!
This is such a fun idea! I love when shelters get creative and find new and special ways to raise funds and adopt out furbabies. Your alma mater is simply wonderful, Mudpie!
Anything that gets the community support for homeless animals is fantastic!
Mamacita doesn't quite wear clothes as good as Summer but she tries. That must be a popular kitty name cos I've heard it before.
Some shelters are better than others. We are glad you have a good one.
