The Silas books are a series of picture books, written in verse, that detail the adventures of a shelter cat named Silas who gets adopted and winds up sharing his home with a “sweet smelling lady.” Later, Miss Opal, a lovely little kitty, joins their family. Key aspects of having a companion animal are woven into the stories, including loving and losing a pet and then discovering the joys and comfort of letting new pets into your home and heart. The series has grown to a series of five, including the series' most recent addition, "Silas and Opal's Outdoor Adventure," which centers on the pair's encounter with a skunk.
Check them out...we highly recommend the whole series for cat lovers of all ages!

Those books sound delightful :)
Not surprising as they are about cats.

That is so cool! California is such a big state, that if everyone involved in creating a book lived out here, no one would be impressed. In fact, if I lived anywhere else but here, I bet I could convince the local news to do stories on me... but not in the second biggest city in the US. Which is kind of a bummer.
I can already tell that I'm going to love this series. They sound like they tell such sweet tales, and the illustrations are beyond incredible. Not to mention, they're for a wonderful cause! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Thanks, Melissa. This sounds like a wonderful series.
I used to live in New Hampshire. Can't convince my wife to move anywhere that cold. It doesn't bother me! I miss the woods. Thanks for the tip.
These sounds very fun! I love that they're helping shelter cats, too!
This sounds like a wonderful series of books. By your description of the books. It deals with a lot of everyday events. Sometimes happy or sad. I wonder what kind of fun they had with the skunk in there Outdoor Adventures. Hope the series raises a lot of money for the lifesaving program. Thanks for the share. Have a great day.

HAH! I love it! The made all in Vermont books helps an NYC charity. Doesn't charity begin at home?
I mean, the series is about cats! How can it be anything but awesome? ;)
That sounds like a great series.
That sounds like a great series. As a fellow New Englander I was drawn to your post by the title alone.
