Meows from Mudpie!
Today's the big day...our oil furnace is coming out and the new gas furnace is going in! To say Mommy is a nervous wreck would be an understatement. She's even brought my carrier into the front hall just in case the house goes kaboom before the day is over. (If you hear on the news tonight about a crazy woman desperately throwing one little tortie and a large Conway collection out the window to safety, that'll be us.)
She's also worried about how I'll react to strange men going in and out of the house all day because that hasn't happened since I've been here. Not to mention it's January in Vermont and we'll be most of the day without heat so I'll likely be turning into a frozen Mudpie.
Wish us luck! Oh, and have we mentioned that now our hot water heater has developed a (thankfully small, so far) leak? So the home repair project nightmares continue...
We only have electric here. Which werks well cuz all the wires are unnerground.
ReplyDeleteBut whatever keeps ya warm best is the right one.
I hope you and the Conway albums (and your human) all stay safe!
ReplyDeleteWe're sending lots of good energy that everything goes smoothly and won't be too stressful for you and your mom!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, we're not fans of strangers in the house. We're purring that all goes smoothly and quickly for you.
ReplyDeleteWe purr all goes well. Mudpie, it's best to just stay outta the way of those strange guys.
ReplyDeleteIt’s sure to be an eventful day, Mudpie! Hope the work is done quickly.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, hope you have heat tonight! My 36 year old gas furnace is a Williamson too--they are the best, that's why it lasted so long. Keep warm!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to have a busy day! Paws crossed it goes smoothly
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun day. Do they have to dig the oil tank out too? Small leaks have a way of becoming big leaks but at least you don't have to worry about flooding your downstairs neighbor.
ReplyDeleteIt's relatively warm here this morning. Hope the heat wave extends up to Vermont (and any associated snow holds off) till youall get your heat fixed.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and safe sweet Mudpie! It sounds like a trying day, but it will be worth it once you have a new furnace and water heater.
ReplyDeleteHokey Smokes! Good luck, Mudpie and peep, but I'm thinking that the installers know what they are doing, since they don't want to go kablooey either!
ReplyDeleteGood luck ! We hope everything goes smoothly, and you can be warm tonight ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteYikes! I hope all went well.
ReplyDeleteWhew. You and your mommy are having a little too much "fun" these days, Mudpie. We hope all is going well, and that everything slows down for you very soon!
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult to have strange people come into your house so we suggest going UTB. You and Mom will be happy with the new furnace. We have gas and it is nice. Warm thoughts Mudpie
ReplyDeleteI hope you get it all sorted SOON Mudpie!
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well!
ReplyDeleteHow did it all go, Mudpie??? We hope smoothly, and that you and Mommy are now reveling in the new and better heat.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, sounds like it was a big day. Hope all went smoothly and there are no frozen Mudpies!
