Let the mystery
that is cat
teach and inspire
those of us
who are merely human.

I have such admiration for anyone who can write poetry because it's a form of writing I struggle with. This collection of cat poems touches on the joy of becoming acquainted with a newly adopted friend, the heartbreak of saying goodbye to an old one, viewing life through a cat's eyes, and celebrating those who foster and advocate for cats. There's even a Christmas poem that every cat mom or dad will identify with.
I've always thought of cats as poetry in motion, so even though it's a genre I rarely read I enjoyed every single entry in this book tremendously. I guarantee Two will take you back to those innocent days with your childhood cat, and New will remind you of the unforgettable day you brought your current pet home for the first time. Every one will touch your heart.

I am horrible at poetry ... writing, understanding ... the only thing I'm even close to confused about is photography!
Mollie is amazing, a terrific writer and a super nice person too!
That sounds great. I wish I could write poetry too. I do my silly rhyming ones on Thursdays, but I don't know how to write ones that don't rhyme.
Mom is really bad at poetry (although we try every Thursday) That sounds like a great book.

Thanks, Melissa and Mudpie. Sounds like a really good book.
I'm not one to often pick up a book of poetry, but I certainly will pick one up that stars cats! I will definitely be checking this one out. Thank you for sharing this with us!
My human struggles with poetry too. We know Mollie, and she is awesome!
Aww, this book seems wonderful! I'm going to look it up at my library.
Thank you, Melissa and Mudpie for the book review. Poetry is very hard to write for me too. But I want to feel that good feeling again when I was little and bringing home my first kitty when I was five. Tabby an all white cat. Thanks for the share. Have a great day.
World of Animals
Sounds like a great book of poems!
Oh, I need to look for this one!
Sounds good. Writing is not my strong point and poetry is even harder though I do like to read some of it :)
