This might mean (gasp!) some weeks without Conway, but I'm really looking forward to upcoming months this year because 1979 saw 3 of my all-time favorite songs of his hit #1, including one next month.

I had nearly forgotten about Charlie Pride. He had a very nice voice. Mewsic has changed a lot in the past 30-years and not always for the better, too. You can so tell how different country music is nowadays when you listen to the songs that are 45-50 years old. I'm not familiar with any of these songs but if I had to pick a favorite, it would have been Earl Thomas Conley , someone I had never even heard of before this post. Ooooh! Nice choices! My hubby used to be part of a country band for 9 years when we lived in PA - since they played at AMVETS and VFW's and veteran shindigs, they often played these songs by request - so thanks for the memories, and the dance! ;)
