She was so young, we were going to have so much time together...but that wasn't meant to be.
She's been gone for over 4 years now and I still have a hard time fathoming the little bit of time we had together. Would I have brought her home that day if I'd known the heartbreak to follow? Without a doubt.

When another living being comes into your life, you never know how long it's going to last, or really what will happen at all, so you just have to appreciate things while they are there. It's a lesson my human learned long ago.

I always tear up when you mention Truffles - it's always hard to lose a cat, but when she's as young as Truffles was, and when it happens as suddenly as it did, it's devastating. Garth Brooks' words couldn't be more purrfect. Hugs to you as you remember your beautiful girl.
