She was so young, we were going to have so much time together...but that wasn't meant to be.
She's been gone for over 4 years now and I still have a hard time fathoming the little bit of time we had together. Would I have brought her home that day if I'd known the heartbreak to follow? Without a doubt.
And now I'm glad I didn't know

When another living being comes into your life, you never know how long it's going to last, or really what will happen at all, so you just have to appreciate things while they are there. It's a lesson my human learned long ago.
It is good to be in a place where you can appreciate the time she had with you more than you remember the sadness of her leaving. Truffles will always be in your heart. Hugs.
