Snow in August #CaturdayArt

Meows from Mudpie!

Mommy says this effect makes me look like I have snowflakes on my fur. I wish!!! I believe it may simply be tortie dust...

And now our weekly answers (all answered by Mommy this week) for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs!

1. When I can't find Mudpie in the house, I get nervous. Even thought I know she's here *somewhere*, I start to panic that she has snuck outside without my knowing it.

2. Bring back real country music. I can't even listen to country radio anymore. I'm so happy when I hear young people say they're going back and listening to the legends because no one out there today sounds any different from anyone else.

3. I'm embarrassed to say I just bought my mom's birthday card and gifts on Friday. (Her birthday is tomorrow.) I've had Mudpie's Gotcha Day card and gifts for awhile...

4. I feel like taking care of cats gives my life meaning.

  1. I have heard that tortie dust is magical, so that must be what it is.

  2. Cool picture, Mudpie, though dad just made some asinine remark about Tortie dust being what's stirred up when I finish doing my business..

  3. Cute, Mudpie. My first thought was you helped Mommy cook and got in the flour. :) I agree with Mommy’s comment about today’s country music.

  4. We really love those magic Tortie particles and think they will give you some extra prezzies real soon, (how do we know that hee hee) Mom really great answers and we really like 1 and 4. Purrs

  5. Very pretty sweet Mudpie! Good answers Mom, the Dad here doesn't care for the not-real-country music these days either.

  6. Whaaa? Mean Mudpie? It6 cannot be, yet you look downright scary in that photo. We think you should join us in our jungle pictures today, since we feel you will sceeeear all the other creatures with your magnificent stare!!!

We also enjoyed your humans answers. What we want to know is, where ARE your hiding places? We could use some new ideas

  7. So pretty, Mudpie!

Tell your mom that my mum panics too when she can't find me in the house. Sometimes I hide on purpose for a laugh but when I hear her panicking like mad I just know I have to reveal myself.

  8. Granny also is looking in and around the house to find me and sometimes she just overlooks me, but she doesn't stop until she finds me😹
Your Mudpie Dust is magical, like golden dust. We love that :) You made us MOL on answer three, that's so like my Granny...MOL :D

  11. Ha! I count the cats several times a day, and always ask The Hubby, "Do you know where Manny is?" He most often responses with, "What?!? You've lost another cat?" and I respond with something rude in return...hehehe!

  12. That is beautiful art Miss Mudpie. Thank you both for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I do the same thing with Penny- I guess torties are good at blending in :) That is funny about your mom's gift- at least you got it before her birthday.I had the same for #4, not surprising. Have a nice weekend! XO

  14. HAH! Toot toot MP! Looks like someone sneezed in the blow or was that white nip?

  15. We think the picture looks as if you've been having a nibble at some sugar-coated cakes (mol).

Our Human also gets the wind up when She can't find one of Us. She really gets her knickers in a twist (mol).

  16. You come with your own pixie dust, Mudpie? How cool!

My mom always gets nervous when she can't find me in the house. Sometimes I'll be right under her nose and she won't see me, 'cause I have black furrs. Kisses.

  17. You are as gorgeous as ever, Mudpie! We'd take some snowflakes right about now, if it would cool things down here. And your fill-ins are fantastic! We really are so much alike. I have been known to search outside for a potential escaped kitty who is actually simply snoozing in a well-hidden place in the house. I've lived in my current house for going on 5 years, and so far no kitties have ever escaped the house, but I still get nervous they escaped every time I can't find one. And your #3 made me laugh, because I already have an entire box filled with Christmas gifts for all of the kitties in my family, but I haven't the foggiest what I'm getting for any humans yet. Purrs!
