Meows from Mudpie!
Thought you might like an update on a couple things we've posted about lately...
Remember how on Friday I said we were putting up our Christmas tree and I was looking forward to spending time in the cabinet Mommy was going to have to move across the room all by herself? It went pretty much as we expected. She grunted and groaned while creeping it across the floor a couple feet at a time, and then suddenly wondered why it seemed to have gotten heavier.
She didn't realize that I had already hopped in while she was carrying it! Mommy got a little perturbed with me and said she didn't need my extra 12 pounds to carry. That was just rude. She did let me hang out in there for awhile while she took a breather.
Then on Sunday there was much excitement over the last NASCAR race of the season and crowning of a champion. Sadly, Mommy's favorite Kevin didn't win. He finished 4th in the race and 3rd in points for the season. She did a bit of crying in her Harvick mug and then started counting down the days until Daytona...
Oh, and Monday after work Mommy went out to the garage to get more Christmas stuff only to discover that a little birdie had gotten trapped in the there overnight! The poor guy was flapping his wings and pecking at the window, desperate to get out. Thankfully once the overhead door was open and he saw daylight he flew right out. Hope he was able to reunite with his family!
Never a dull moment at our house. What's been going on at yours?

Wow, lots of stuff going on at your house! My human isn't pulling out our Christmas stuff until the day after Thanksgiving. She is going to make a whole day of it.
Wow, glad that birdie was released back into the wild, Mudpie! A local Detroit-area dude...Penske...just purchased the Daytona Speedway. The Hubby and I visited Daytona years and years ago on a springtime vacation, but it was SO COLD, that we left and drove all of the way down to Key West, where it was sunshiney and glorious. Did I tell you that I visited the Indy Speedway last year, when in Indiana? I kissed the bricks!
Hooray for the bird flying free, that's good news.
Goodness so much going on Mudpie. Glad the birdie went home and we also were rooting for Kevin. He did pretty good. We like to hop in things Dad has to carry too. It is funny to see him shooing us out MOL
Mupdie our Mom has been putting away pumpkins and pulling out Christmas trees! Weeeeeeeeeeee we love new stuff!

Sorry your mommy's driver didn't come in 1st. I am glad you got to enjoy your cabinet.

My goodness, what a week you've had! Mudpie, I can't believe your Mommy wasn't beyond eager to carry around your svelte 12 pounds. We bet your Christmas tree looks absolutely purrfect. We've been starting to put up our Christmas decor, but we're trying so hard to stick to our tradition of putting the trees up the day after Thanksgiving. Just another week! Purrs!
