Anyone who has followed us through the years knows that we decorate early for Christmas, like around Veterans Day. One of Mommy's favorite decorating memories happened 2 years ago this week...
The tree going up requires moving some furniture. This cabinet is filled with mostly old records that her parents gave her (non-Conway records - his have their own place of honor), and there's nothing much heavier than vinyl! Since Mommy has to do it herself she obviously has to move everything out in order to lift it.
When she finished the heavy lifting and left the door open I couldn't resist and had to hop in! Mommy didn't have the heart to make me move so she used it as a good excuse to take a break :)
I think she should leave it empty for me, don't you? Anyways, guess what we're doing this afternoon? Putting up the Christmas tree! Paws crossed I get to spend some time in the cabinet again this year!

I agree! I think that cabinet was made for you, Mudpie!
ReplyDeletePurrfect spot for snoopervising!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
That's a wonderful place to watch what is going on!
ReplyDeleteNow that she knows what you want, I'm guessing she'll make sure you get what you want. So precious. Also the tree is fun to mess with.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥
Mudpie, I believe that all humans are on Earth to make life easier for cats, so you should have your hidey hole all of the time!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that cabinet should belong to you, Mudpie!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like the perfect spot to investigate Miss Mudpie!
ReplyDeleteThat cabinet would make the perfect girl cave for you, Mudpie.
ReplyDeleteDecorating for Christmas simply wouldn't be possible without the skilled snoopervision of a kitty. Your mom would be so lost without your help, Mudpie. We hope you both have lots of fun putting up the Christmas tree! We've started decorating for Christmas at our house, but I'm trying to stick to my lifelong tradition of putting the actual trees up the day after Thanksgiving. Why does Thanksgiving have to be so late this year? Purrs!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun place for you to snuggle in; all you need is a blankie! I think you need a catnip tree!
ReplyDeleteWe think she should put a bed or blanket in there for you, Mudpie.
ReplyDeleteWise move MP. To move heavy furniture TW puts a rug under it to make it easy to slide across the floor. She can even drag the television and we have an old boxy one.
ReplyDeleteTBT doesn't decorate until a week before a holiday. When he does. But he and we do like lights on the windows, so we always do that. The more fancy stuff is "iffy" from year to year.
ReplyDeleteYes, she should put a blankie in there for you.:)
ReplyDeleteMudpie that cabinet is just your size and we think it should be yours from now on!
