Hearts & Roses #MewsicMovesMe

The theme of this week's Mewsic Moves Me blog hop is: "In honor of Valentine’s Day, we will have love songs. Songs about falling in love, songs about being in love, songs about missing the one you love, even songs about losing love." Easy peasy!!!

Conway was the king of country love songs so this week's choices could easily be him alone, but I forced myself to pick just one. Fallin' for You for Years was a big hit for him in 1986, and it's a perfect example of how unique (and sexy) his voice was...

Considered by many to be the greatest country song ever written...

Rounding out this week's playlist with a few more favorite love songs...

Do you have a favorite country love song?

Lovin' your tunes today my friend. Never heard that first tune though. It's very nice. I'll still be loving you & the next one too... I fell in love with you last night. Wow, so many harmonies. Look at us is new to me I've never heard that tune. It's so pretty. Thanks for playin' along with us. All your tunes are definitely love songs!

Love your list. I’m from the U.K. and had never heard of Conway Twitty until you mentioned him. Now a big fan!

Mudpie,

I'm not surprised to find Conway singing sweet love songs in your mom's ears this morning. Restless Heart "I'll Still Be Loving You" is a good oldie from the 80s. The Forester Sisters...wow, I haven't heard "I Fell In Love Again Last Night" in forever! Great love song picks for this week's theme, my furriends. Thanks for joining the 4M gang on the dance floor. Have a boogietastic week!

Great choices. He Stopped Loving Her Today reminds me of my Dad. He never even dated after my mom left him in 1980 until his death in 2001. I can't write that on my blog though because my mom reads it and I don't want her to feel more guilt than she already does.

Country music is great for love songs. Our favorite would be Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You.

beautiful songs to dedicate to your feline!

I agree with The Island Cats, I Will Always Love You has been one of my favorites since Dolly's show on TV, and once I learned the story I loved it even more. But there are way too many country love songs that are my favorite, though most of them are sad: Crazy, I Still Miss Someone, Sweet Memories, You Don't Know Me, of course Conway's Only Make Believe. I'll have to go have a listen.

Loved Restless Heart, Mudpie. All the songs were new to us, but we already like them. One of the country songs we love is Alan Jackson's Remember when, but there are so many more that we also love😸Pawkisses for a Happy Tuesday🐾😽💞

No other genre surpasses country when it comes to love songs! When I got married years and years ago, all of our special dances were country. Just makes it too easy!

I Fell In Love is a good one :)

My special song with Buzz Lucas was Yazoo's "Only You." TW only had a special song with one guy and that was T Rex's "Jeepster." No country songs for us.

We were looking forward to seeing what Conway song you'd pick as a good Valentine's one this week. His voice sure is something special.

Thank you for sharing these country songs. No matter what the genre, love shines through. Enjoyed the Restless Heart song the most. I'm not a country fan, but this one charted on the rock charts: Danny's Song, sung by Anne Murray. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
