Flashback Friday: 5 Years Ago

Meows from Mudpie!

Check out what Angel Truffles was blogging about 5 years ago this week...
One day during the holidays Mommy had a lot going on in the kitchen, and in order to make more room on the stove she set the tea kettle down on the floor. Suddenly she heard what sounded like me drinking out of my water bowl...only I wasn't at my water bowl. I was drinking the warm water left in the tea kettle!
Mommy didn't freak out or anything...she actually thought it was cute and encouraged me to do it again for a picture! Now every now and then when she's working in the kitchen I'll look up at the stove and she puts the kettle down for me.
But that's just between us, okay?

Now I'm sure some of you reading this might think this was rather unsanitary, but I must confess that I, Mudpie, have picked up the same habit! Mommy just doesn't have photographic proof - yet.

Thankfully it really doesn't bother Mommy at all. Obviously she tosses the water out afterwards, and she says she's much more freaked out by the Coronavirus than anything she might catch from my little tongue!

What say you? Would you let your kitties partake of tea kettle water?

Sadly, I am not allowed to use the human kitchen things! My human is a bit of a germaphobe. I don't see why - I'm not scared of her cooties.

What’s mine is theirs, at my house. If I set it down, it’s fair game. :)

You missed the post where Bear got ticked off I was eating cookies instead of feeding him. Those fudge-stripe cookies? I'd just opened a package and the plastic tore off - so okay. The open package was sitting there ... next thing I know, Bear is licking EVERY SINGLE COOKIE IN THE PLASTIC SLEEVE. He was VERY thorough - though he only licked each cookie once. I couldn't even make that up! And those cookies did not go uneaten!

That wouldn't bother anyone here either!

We think this is absolutely adorable of both you, and Truffles, Mudpie! This here human wouldn't be bothered. She's eaten and drank stuff that all sorts of furbaby tongues have touched. Purrs and happy drinking!

I would let you drink out of my teapot. It's adorable. All our babies ate off our plates and we didn't mind one bit.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

I'd rather have cat spit on my water or on my sandwich, than no cat spit at all! The Hubby breaks off a chunk of his meal to offer, but I just let Da Boyz at my plate or glass...LOL!

Ooh maybe your momma can put a bit of milk or cream in that kettle for a special treat. Kisses.

If that's what you want, then why not? The warm water must taste good for a change.

The water gets boiled anyway, right ? So this is probably more sanitary than if you had little kids around !

That is a cute flashback. I have never left the kettle with the cover open, I am sure they would get to it if I did.

We bet that water had extra flavor since it had been sitting awhile. :)
