Conway's first success in the world of country music came not as a singer, but as a songwriter, when Ray Price had a top 10 hit with his song Walk Me To The Door.
This performance comes from an Oklahoma City show called Country Social in 1965, the year he made the transition from rock to country.

Seems as though walking has long been a popular topic in country music.
Here are a few more selections!
Where are you walking to these days, and what mewsic are you listening to while you walk?

I really like Randy Travis. I never heard this one before though I think I now have a new Randy favorite. Thank you for sharing. God bless & stay healthy my friend. hugs
I love the Randy Travis song, too. Staying home, doing my part to prevent the spread of the virus. Take care, Melissa and Mudpie.
Beautiful paws Mudpie! Patsy Cline rocks!
Nice playlist. Very different. I like it.
This might be the best play list I will see and listen to all day. Great songs, great artists...thanks for inviting them to the party.
That was a fun bunch of tunes and some mighty fine walking!
Lots of fun walking going on!!

"Walkin' After Midnight" is an absolute classic. Patsy Cline had one of the greatest voices in country music. Good list!
I just love Patsy Cline! What a loss to Country music when she died such an early death.
I love Patsy Cline, I almost went with Walking After Midnight.
Hey Mudpie!! Thanks for sharing all these great tunes with us. We love the Walkin' After Midnight song by Patsy Cline. My dad used to play her music all the time when he was relaxing. Thanks for the pawsome share. Have a great day.

Such a beautiful song set. Very nice.
That was a great walk with your mewsic choise, Mudpie and Melissa. Randy Travis is our favourite from your list and Sawyer Brown is the second favourite. Country mewsic is so hearttouchting, don't you think😸Clean Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead. Stay Save Healthy and Yourselfie🙏🐾😽💞
M&M,
I'm not doing much walking outdoors in this wind if I don't have to, you know? Usually our neighborhood is quite a few walkers but there haven't been many on our street which really is a smart idea to not be out there walking with cars driving by with the windows down. We see that when we go out to the store, people driving in convertibles or windows down at a time like this is really S.T.U.P.I.D. But, that's just me. Call me paranoid but I'd rather be paranoid (aka playing it safe) then sick with Covid-19.
You brought your A-game out for this week's theme featuring some great country mewsicians and song titles. Patsy Cline was an amazing talent. Incidentally, the Randy Travis video won't play on your blog but I was able to click on the YT link to be redirected to listen to it.
Thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor, my furriends. Stay home and be well! xx
Fantastic song choices! The title of your post also has a certain song now stuck in my head. These days, pup Astrid and I are still taking our usual walks. We're actually seeing far more people than usual out and about on walking paths these days. I find that intriguing. Well wishes!
What a great theme! Nice selections, too!
My favorites here were Sam Brown and Patsy Cline. We all need to be taking more walks - more fresh air - to get us out into nature, as much as we can be. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
