The theme of this week's Mewsic Moves Me blog hop is songs about islands or an island theme. Because of the heat an island is the last place I'd ever want to be but we found a few cool tunes for you anyways...
Several years ago CMT counted down the greatest country duets of all time. This ended up in the #1 spot. Personally, I think it should've been a Conway & Loretta duet, but I'm far from impartial...
Here's a question for you...WHO would you want to be stranded on an island with? I don't think anyone needs to think too hard to guess my choice. (I would never go anywhere without Mudpie so she doesn't count.)

Well, I knew it Kenny Rodgers & Dolly are going to be the "Stars" of the day! ahahaahaha Key Largo.. such a pretty song. I had forgotten about that song, and it's just too pretty. I haven't heard it in so long. Thank you. And yet another I knew was going to hang around all day and maybe Key Largo too. Such a very pretty song. Great tunes!
I wonder how many times some songs are going to be duplicated today. LOL.. Key Largo has made it to 3 lists so far (I'm just getting started)

What a fun theme for music! I'm not much of a beach person, or a summer person, but I sure would be happy to find a Mudpie in a bottle. Purrs!
Three classic songs. Islands aren't necessarily tropical, so you could pick one that isn't so hot. As it happens, I was born on the 11th largest island in the United States, and trust me, it isn't at all tropical! New York City, the City of my birth, is actually composed of a fair number of islands. But, I think tropics, too. It does appeal to me during our harsh winters where I live now.
