Tuesday afternoon I visited Michaels to pick up a few Lemax Spooky Town pieces that were finally listed as available on their website. Petco is right next door so I stopped in to pick up a couple things for Mudpie. Every time I go in that store I remember the happy day I picked Truffles up from their adoption center - 7 years ago today.
In our short two years together Truffles left me with memories that will last a lifetime, and today instead of focusing on the sadness I want to remember one of the fun times.
Not too long before she went to the Bridge Truffles won a racecar scratcher. NASCAR fanatic that I am, I was just as excited about the prize as she was! When it arrived we put together a fun little post that still makes me smile.
Mudpie inherited the scratcher and still uses it to this day, but let's just say it looks likes its been in a number of collisions over the years! Even though it's shredded and gouged I could never throw it out though. It has too many memories attached to it.

A well-used scratcher is a thing to admire! And when it brings memories, that is even better.
Aww, that race car scratcher was perfect for you and Truffles! I'm glad Mudpie made good use of it too.
What a lovely memory. I totally understand that you can't get rid of it. A well-loved scratcher in a lot of different ways!
Such a sweet memory. I, too, understand keeping it.
What a wonderful memory. We understand why you kept the scratcher. The mom still has some toys that the cats that came before years ago played with.
That is a very sweet and fun memory! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
That is a sweet memory, you never forget your furbabies, do you? Hugs on this day, and kudos for focusing on the fun times, we should all do that.
Hugs and purrs on this remembrance day.
Sending you hugs as you remember your sweet Truffles. XO

What a perfect scratcher for your household! And fun photos of Truffles.
That is such a sweet throwback of dear Truffles. Love that car
I just love when you share your memories of Truffles. Your time together may have been far too short, but you both nonetheless had such a huge impact on each other's lives. Purrs!
