k.d. lang's version of one of the most beautiful songs in any musical genre...
Many artists have recorded I May Never Get to Heaven over the years, including Aretha Franklin, but Conway was the only one to take it to #1. This is my second favorite version by Narvel Felts. His voice is so unusual and on this song it gives me chills.
Coincidentally, I May Never Get to Heaven was written by country star Bill Anderson, also a November baby...
I had the opportunity to meet Linda Davis when she opened for Reba at our local fair back in 1990. I love her voice and always wished she'd been more successful in her country career. Trivia time: Linda's daughter is Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum!

Dad says KD Lang's voice certainly is beautiful, but he thinks Jeff Buckley's haunting rendition of Hallelujah is the all-time best version ever.

Somehow, I don't think I'd ever before heard KD Lang's rendition of Hallelujah. It's gorgeous!
I almost wrote about k. d. lang. She has a really nice voice and though I don't like this song (because I've heard so many versions of it, I think) she does do a wonderful job with it. Good list!
