Keeping Mommy Safe

Meows from Mudpie!

Monday night Mommy and I were cuddling on the couch when breaking news came on the TV that a shooting had occurred at our local mall! Details were sketchy at first but it appears there was a dispute of some sort, multiple shots were fired, and an innocent bystander got hit (thankfully he had non life-threatening injuries.) Incidents like this just aren't common to Vermont so it was pretty scary, especially since it's a mall Mommy goes to frequently.

Well, I've decided to take matters into my own paws. Without her reusable bag Mommy can't go shopping, so I'm just going to plop my cute little self down on top of it so she has to stay home, safe with me. There's nothing she needs at that dumb ol' mall anyways.

(In case you were wondering, my squeezies don't come from that shopping center. If they did she would just have to take her chances!!!! MOL)

Oh my gosh, Mudpie! That is so scary! We are glad the innocent bystander's injuries were not life-threatening, but these kinds of incidents happen so often now. It's just terrible and so upsetting. You and Mommy take good care of each other, okay? XO

Our "worlds" keep getting smaller and smaller as we stay at home now for so many reasons ...
but Mudpie is right, at home we are safe with one another ...

Oh sure, Mudpie...you'll keep her safe, unless your tummy needs something!
Hahaha!
That must have been scary; we've been in similar situations too, years ago.

What a strange (sad) coincidence--a mall in our state, near where my family lives, also had a shooting a few days ago. Some days it's difficult to understand humans. More kitties, please!

Oh Mudpie, you're too funny. But I'm glad your mom won't have to take her chances since your squeezies don't come from that mall.
