50 Years Ago - 1971, After the Fire is Gone, Conway & Loretta
An important song in the history of country music - Conway & Loretta's first single as a duo.
It hit #1 and went on to win a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group...
35 Years Ago - 1986, I Could Get Used To You, Exile
35 Years Ago - 1986, What's A Memory Like You (Doing in a Love Like This), John Schneider
I'm such a huge fan of John's voice and wish he had stayed with country music.
Conway also recorded this song but never released it as a single.
30 Years Ago - 1991, Loving Blind, Clint Black
30 Years Ago - 1991, I'd Love You All Over Again, Alan Jackson
We hope you enjoyed our choices this month!

That is quite a collection today, though mum is a bit more R&R.
Does your mum dance to the music?

Ouch. I remember a couple of those songs coming out! I'd complain about being old - but I know your Mommy is the same age as me ... so we'll just keep that number to ourselves.
I remember Conway and Loretta, from 1971. How could that be 50 years ago?!?
We're not too much into country, but it looks like an awesome collection and if Mudpie likes it well it has to be good!
Great tunes to listen to on this fine Monday thanks
Awww on the kitty and I love all the music. It's good to look back on some great sounds from back in the day.
Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
I'd forgotten a lot of those songs, some I'd never even heard, so thanks!
Those were good and that sweet photo sure is special sweet Mudpie!
I really enjoy a good ol' Conway and Loretta duet. Wishing you a wonderful week!
Thank you so much Mudpie for the pawsome tunes. We see the years of how long ago these songs were hits and just amazed when we see fifty, or thirty five years makes us feel old. LOL. Have a great rest of your week.

Great choices. My favorite this week is Alan Jackson.
This is an excellent selection of tunes! Thanks guys! have a marvellously happy day!
We love Clint Black! Great choices this week, Mudpie and Mom!
Melissa,
I haven't listened to Exile's music in a long time. John Schneider seems like such a nice guy. He has a lovely voice and is nice on the ears. Thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor, darlin'! Have a boogietastic week. ;)
The Alan Jackson song rings true for me. In May we will celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary and if I had it to do all over, I'd do it all over with her. Yes, I would. Thanks for sharing this song.
Very nice
Nice and classic playlist. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Two nice surprises here. First, Exile, whom I knew from their rock days. (That was my favorite song of your set, truth to tell). Second one, John Schneider, who was born not far from where my husband grew up. I always like hearing how a genre of music has changed over the years. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
