This year we're delving into #1 hits from 1971, 1976, 1981, and so on. Let's take a look at April for this freebie week in the Mewsic Moves Me blog hop...

40 Years Ago - 1981, Drifter, Sylvia

40 Years Ago - 1981, You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma, David Frizzell & Shelly West

40 Years Ago - 1981, Old Flame, Alabama

40 Years Ago - 1981, A Headache Tomorrow (or a Heartache Tonight), Mickey Gilley

Melissa,

I enjoyed your selection of country music. I, especially liked "Drifter" by Sylvia which I believe is an introduction. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

You're beautiful today sweet Mudpie. I love your song picks, very nice - but I'm concerned, No Conway?!

Some familiar old favorites here, "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma" being one of them and Old Flame from Alabama. Love the Mickey Gilley lyric "A Headache Tomorrow". Great playlist. Have a blessed week.

We always like your tunes sweet Mudpie!

Our mom knows those tunes! We are rather partial to the singing of birdies ourselves but we like it when the people put on their music and sing to us too.

None familiar to me - I liked the first two (the two oldest) the best. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
